Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War: Season 3 Reloaded Update is here - Patch Notes for the start

Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War

The Season 3 Reloaded Update is available for download for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Players can download the patch since 6 a.m., the download size is between 7 and 13 gigabytes, depending on the platform. Most of the content will be activated on May 20th, at 7 p.m. - presumably for the new playlist update. The developers have now published the patch notes on their website, which introduce the individual changes and innovations from the mid-season update. For the multiplayer mode, the update has new maps, game modes, weapons, playlists and balancing adjustments for individual weapons.

Standoff, which players should know from Black Ops 2, is one of the new maps. The map will be playable in 6v6 mode and, according to the developers, will play like the original. Additionally, the Duga map debuts in Multi-Team Modes this week. The map was initially available exclusively in zombies mode in the first half of the season. Another new feature is the multi-team elimination mode, in which ten teams of four players each fight for survival and the radiation zones continuously expand. Because loadouts are limited, you have to look for weapons, scorestreals and armor yourself.

In addition, Rambo and John McClane, two film heroes from the 1980s, are shaking up the battlefields as new operators. A special event brings the new Die Hardpoint mode to the multiplayer mode of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War (buy now € 69.99 / € 53.99). Here you take hardpoints to get points for your team. If your opponent sweeps off the screen, you collect up to five buffs. However, you should always take a look at the timer: If the time runs out, your operator will explode. Rambo's Gun Game is again announced for next week.

In the patch notes for the Season 3 Reloaded update for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, the developers also announce that the 12vs12 Moshpit will be expanded to include additional 6vs6 maps, including Standoff, The Pines and Moscow . There are also a number of new features for the zombies mode. The first main quest of Outbreak starts on Thursday. The developers promise a number of secrets in the Ural Mountains, along with the opportunity to go fishing for the first time. There are also new Dark Aether documents, audio logs and radio broadcasts. Dead Ops Arcade 3, in turn, receives a new Silverback Slideways bonus map and a number of gameplay improvements and bug fixes.

The mid-season update is rounded off by a number of weapon adjustments for sniper rifles, pistols, LMGs and more. You can find the full patch notes on the Treyarch website. We will keep you up to date in our news area. Details about the Warzone update are not yet available.

Today marks the halfway point for Season 3 of Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone.

Activision, Treyarch and Raven Software have settled on a nice rhythm with seasonal release content at this point. At the beginning of a season, we see a bunch of fun new content drop. This includes new maps, a Battle Pass with a new Operator, changes to the Warzone map and so forth.

Then, midway through the season we get the Reloaded launch. This includes even more new content. It’s not as much as the season launch, but it’s still hefty. With the Season 3 Reloaded content drop, players can expect two new maps, two new weapons, new modes and new points of interest in Verdansk.

One of these new locations is Nakatomi Plaza, the famous office building from Die Hard. This is arriving in the Warzone map thanks to the new 80s’ Action Heroes event that kicks off with the Season 3 midseason update. Both John McClane and Rambo will be offered as cosmetic bundles in the Item Shop, and new modes—like Die Hardpoint and Rambo’s Gun Game—will be part of temporary playlists.

Here’s the trailer:

Call Of Duty Season 3 Reloaded kicks off in Warzone and Black Ops Cold War at 9pm PT on May 19th / 12am ET May 20th. The update is now available on PC, Xbox and PlayStation to download. PlayStation gamers can pre-load the content now. The file size is:
