Clash at the Castle: our exclusive interviews with WWE stars

Clash at the Castle

Now only a few hours separate us from Clash at the Castle, an event that will mark the great return of WWE to a stadium in England after more than thirty years. We got to interview some of the Company's most important stars: Gunther, Sheamus and the Street Profits. Here's what they told us.

Our interviews with WWE Clash at the Castle

Interview with Gunter, WWE Intercontinental Champion

Gunther, you will be defending the Intercontinental Championship against Gunther tonight. Are you prepared?

I feel very excited, I recognize that there is a lot of anticipation for this match and I am ready to defend the title. I think I am in the best physical condition of my career and I have absolutely no intention of losing. Buckle up and get ready, it will be a very tough match.

What are the main differences between Vince McMahon and Triple H, now that you've worked for both of them?

I've only worked with Vince for a short time, but I can only say one thing about him: is without doubt the greatest wrestling promoter of all time, there is no question. On the other hand, I worked with Triple H back in the days of NXT and it's absolutely fantastic. I can't wait to continue to see what it will bring to the WWE product in general.

If you had to choose your own dream match to play at WrestleMania, who would you face?

As I always say, I only have one name in mind, Brock Lesnar. And sooner or later we will collide, I'm sure.

Interview with WWE Celtic Warrior, Sheamus

Sheamus, we're in Cardiff for Clash at the Castle. You will face Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship, the title has not been defended in over two years so you will have a lot of pressure for this match. Are you ready to become Grand Slam Champion?

Absolutely! The first ever Ultimate Grand Slam Champion. I've been waiting for this moment for too long and I can't wait, it will be my moment.

Gunther is a very physical wrestler, how are you preparing for this match?

Who do you think I am? I'm a brawler too, don't worry. I'll take care of waking him up, Gunther has never been in the ring with someone like me. Lots of chop on the chest, chop at will!

Triple H has taken creative control of WWE. Have you known Hunter for years, how do you feel working for him and has the atmosphere in the backstage changed for the better than before?

The atmosphere has always been good, I always say that. Now all eyes are on WWE because there is an air of novelty. I've known Triple H for years now and I'm sure his creative input will bring great things to life.

I ask this question to you too, as to others. What do you think of the announcement of NXT Europe?

NXT Europe will be a wave of new opportunities for me for all European wrestlers who need a bigger stage to show what they are worth. | zone: tag crm_srl-th_culturapop_d_mh2_1 slot id: th_culturapop_d_mh2 "); }

Guys, are we in Cardiff for Clash at the Castle: feeling hot about the big event?

We are very happy to be part of this event. At the moment we don't have a match in card yet, but we have apparently taken on several collateral activities, including Be a Star. Our relationship with British and European fans in general is fantastic. They are really crazy, in the best possible way, and they provide us with great energy every time we perform.

You are currently one of the most popular Tag Team in WWE. Would you like to try a single career in the future?

Listen, if the Draft were to separate us, we'd get over it. We are currently committed to being the best tag team ever. We want to conquer the Undisputed Tag Team Championships and prove that there is no one in the world like Street Profits. Only when we have achieved everything we wanted to do as a couple, will we think about a future as a single.

Where to see WWE Clash at the Castle

Clash at the Castle will be broadcast tonight at 7pm, Italian time, exclusively on the WWE Network. A card full of encounters and that promises a show in front of over 60 thousand fans. The last historic stadium event in England was SummerSlam '92 where Bret Hart defeated The British Bulldog in the main event.
