Resident Evil 8 Village

"Good artists copy, great artists steal". A quote that has been attributed to some great personalities over the years. Including Picasso, T.S. Eliot, William Faulkner, and Igor Stravinsky. Artists like to be inspired, take lines, figures or stanzas from other works and add their own note. This could now have happened at Resident Evil Village.

On LinkedIn, Richard Raaphorst, director of the film Frankenstein's Army, accuses Capcom of having one of his monster designs - without approval or recognition - for their new resident- Evil title used. On Twitter, he also shared the post of user CloneKorp, who has created a small gallery of the Resident Evil monsters that are said to have similarities with the monsters from Frankenstein's Army.

In Frankenstein's Army there was probably a monster that had a propeller for its head, and there is also a "propeller monster" in Resident Evil 8. Whether Raaphorst invented both the propeller and its placement on the head of a humanoid figure is unclear not yet known. What the inventor of the ship's propeller, Josef Ressel, does not have to say either.

Resident Evil Village: Most successful Steam -Launch of the horror series

Resident Evil 8 Village started a few days ago and made the most successful start of the horror series on Steam. var lstExcludedArticleTicker = '1371795,1371803,1371281,1371753'; The Twitter thread continues with pictures of a few humanoids in a kind of full-body armor. The design of the helmets is particularly interesting here. In the first picture you can clearly see the model of the hammerhead shark, also called Sphyrnidae, in both figures. In the next picture you can see how the figure from Frankenstein's Army exchanges her hammerhead helmet for a normal diving helmet. Here the similarities with the Resident Evil figure diverge again.

As the last picture, CloneKorp shared two figures, each wearing a mask and having a modified arm. Unfortunately, we can't think of more about the alleged resemblance of these characters.

Another user on Twitter shared more results from the investigation into whether Resident Evil Village stole its character designs in the CloneKorp thread. So he showed us the interpretation of the two franchises Resident Evil and The Hobbit by Gallywix from World of Warcraft. Finally, we see a dog-like creature from the film The Host, which has a mouth similar to a snail-like creature from Resident Evil Village (buy now € 64.99) - and like the Demogorgon from Stranger Things - covered with eyeballs.

Overall, it can be said that some of the monster designs from Resident Evil Village actually show a certain resemblance to the monsters from Frankenstein's Army. It remains to be seen whether the allegation of theft is justified.
