The Game Awards 2020: event schedule and expected games
Today is an extremely important day for the gaming world, in addition to the release of Cyberpunk 2077, we remind you all that the Game Awards will take place tonight in which the winner for the most coveted award will be announced: The Game of the Year. Furthermore, it will be possible to see who will check out among all the nominations in the running, both in the aforementioned game of the year and in the various sub-categories. The event will start at 00:30 (Italian time) with a pre show lasting about 30 minutes, but in addition to the prizes we could also see many titles presented with great fanfare, given the various rumors that have taken place in recent days, what games could be announced?

Geoff Keighley in recent days has, in fact, stated that approximately a dozen new games will be announced throughout the event. Among the safe announcements we cannot fail to mention Dragon Age 4, a highly anticipated chapter by fans of the brand initially presented during the Game Awards two years ago. Then, Mediatonic will present the highly anticipated Season 3 of its winter-themed Fall Guys and finally a new look at Nier Replicant, a remake of the very first Nier. Through a tweet Keighley made it known that 5 world premieres will be shown during the pre show and in this case, obviously, the theories about it are on the agenda.

Excited to welcome back the incredible @sydsogood who returns as pre-show host for #TheGameAwards on Thursday night!

We'll have 5 world premieres in the pre-show, plus a musical performance. More on that soon!

Let's start immediately by telling you that these are only speculations, and therefore we invite you to take everything with due pliers. After making this premise let's start by saying that with all honesty it is possible that the first real trailer of Elden Ring will be shown, a new work produced by the skilled hands of From Software and the well-known writer George R.R. Martin. In fact, at the end of November Bandai Namco confirmed its participation by declaring that "it will be a great day", all of which presaged a possible announcement of the highly anticipated new title by Hidetaka Miyazaki which in recent years has only been seen with a teaser. Another announcement could be the already highly anticipated God of War 2, a sequel starring the old Kratos due out next year. Could these really be some of the protagonists in the Game Awards? It has never been talked about, but dreaming costs nothing.

Halo Infinite is another big title that could be seen maybe in a whole new guise, after the disastrous trailer presented months ago, some photos of the new chapter of the Microsoft exclusive starring Master Chief. In fact, in these days its arrival at the end of 2021 has been made official and it is therefore plausible that Microsoft will use the stage to show something of one of the most anticipated titles on Xbox Series X.

Last, but not least, we cannot fail to mention Metal Gear and Silent Hill. The two games ended up on everyone's lips after seeing tweets, mysterious teasers and the juxtaposition of Bluepoint. It goes without saying that anyone would like to see the two games on the Game Awards stage. In conclusion, we just have to wait for this night. The event, in recent years, has never disappointed us and we are sure it will not even this year.
