Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Demon's Souls are the most anticipated games of November
November 2020 will be remembered for a long time, in the gaming field, for being the month of the launch of the next gen with the arrival of Xbox Series X and Series S and PS5, and in this case the new consoles are also accompanied by a good dose of interesting games at launch. It's not a very common thing: the lineups of the consoles coming out, at least in the last generations (and with the exception of the Nintendo Switch), have never shone that much for the quality of the launch titles, but in this case if nothing else the catalog is rich and this is reflected in the choice of the most anticipated game of the month. It is still too early to evaluate the goodness of the games on the basis of impressions, given that direct contact with many of these has not yet been, but there are already what appear to be the titles destined to attract much more attention. of the others. In general, these are the games used by Sony and Microsoft respectively to advertise the new consoles, namely Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Demon's Souls.

It is, however, a very particular generation: for the first time in history, we are faced with consoles able to make the catalog of games available for the previous console work completely (or almost), therefore the manufacturers would not even have the need to push too much on a particularly consistent launch lineup, considering the possibility of these consoles being able to fish from the wide offer already existing on the market. This is especially the case of Microsoft, which having had to postpone the release of Halo Infinite finds itself practically discovered, beyond Gears Tactics and various titles modified to work better on Xbox Series X and Series S but still belonging to the catalog Xbox One. Sony, on the other hand, has managed to put together some games of considerable interest dedicated to PS5, among which Demon's Souls and Spider-Man: Miles Morales stand out, with the latter still being released on PS4.

The most eagerly awaited by the editorial staff

The voting within the editorial team proved to be very contested until the end, with the choice of the most anticipated game of November 2020 which emerged only after a careful counting of votes, given the minimum differences between the top three, demonstrating how the lineup of the month just started is very interesting. The first classified, which therefore boasts the most anticipated game title of November 2020, is Assassin's Creed Valhalla and is a result that is somewhat surprising: although many say they are now tired of the Ubisoft series, it is clear how the new chapter, probably thanks also to the technological push given by the next gen, has aroused a lot of curiosity, revealing some altars. Ultimately, several members of the editorial team can't wait to step into the shoes of Eivor and take to raids around Great Britain, evidently the most widespread secret passion in these parts.

In second position, but separated by only two points, came Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which in a sense could be another surprise, considering that the most anticipated title, based on on the premises, it appeared to be Demon's Souls. Instead, the new game from Insomniac Games has breached the editorial walls, thus confirming itself as the most anticipated title among the PS5 exclusives and the second most anticipated ever for the month just started, certainly strengthened by what has been shown so far, among quality graphics, technical improvements applied and the incredible compression of waiting times for uploads on the next gen Sony. Demon's Souls arrives in third position, although not far from the second: the action RPG of BluePoint, remake of the original of the same name by From Software, was a candidate for the first position but ended up surprisingly closing the podium, in a position of great importance, however, waiting to see how it will be confirmed with the election of the game of the month. Off the podium, but at a great distance, only Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity and Yakuza: Like a Dragon stand out in the background.

The most awaited by readers

The result is always rather hard fought but rather clear is the one deriving from the poll released to readers, who elected Demon's Souls as the most anticipated game of November 2020. The remake of the PS3 title, which became very well known especially thanks to the subsequent Dark series Souls to which it originated, allows you to try again the progenitor of the soulslike in a reworked form for PS5, allowing many to try it practically for the first time, since the original was not as played as one might think. Demon's Souls won the first place with a good margin, even if the gap is not decidedly abysmal and Assassin's Creed Valhalla, the second classified, however, proves to enjoy great expectations even among the readers of SportsGaming.win, apparently.

Perhaps the biggest title among the third parties available at the launch of the next gen, the new chapter of the Ubisoft series promises to stage a good evolutionary leap if not other from a technical point of view, while the basics of the series seem to return in an expanded but substantially unchanged way. Following, but with considerable detachment from the first two, Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales closes the podium, demonstrating how the new Insomniac game is still expected by users but probably not as much as Demon's Souls: perhaps the fact that it is a sort of spin-off of an intermediate dimension or the fact that it is quite close to the same experience already tried with the previous Spider-Man make it not as coveted as the BluePoint action RPG, but it is still a very wanted. Outside the podium, also here, Yakuza: Like and Dragon and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity are the titles that collect the most votes left.
