Cyberpunk 2077: CD Projekt risks a class action for false statements
The launch of Cyberpunk 2077 is very far from what we would have expected, generating an icy climate within the walls of CD Projekt RED and in the virtual squares. Technical problems and general discontent are undermining what could have been the game of the generation and the continuous updates, introduced with the aim of improving the experience offered, seem to be still far from resolving the situation. Currently, CD Projekt Red has released the 1.05 update, which this time is also intended for PC players, as well as PlayStation and Xbox owners. However, it appears that Cyberpunk 2077's save files are in danger of corrupting and becoming unrecoverable if they reach the size of 8MB, forcing the player to reload a previous save or restart the game.

The situation for CD Projekt RED is quite tense, considering all the players who have requested a refund on both the Playstation and Xbox console lines, Sony's decision to remove the game from the PlayStation Store and the apparent revolt of the developers against the management. Beyond that, however, the Polish company seems to be facing another big problem regarding Cyberpunk 2077: the possibility of a class action lawsuit against CD Projekt Red. In this regard, Warsaw lawyers and shareholders are keeping an eye on the situation.

The New York Times even talks about it in one of its articles, dealing with the issue related to the pre and post-launch of Cyberpunk 2077, adding this last and overwhelming implication, in which CD Projekt Red could find itself facing a major class action lawsuit. The reason? With all the errors and issues the game is presenting it is clear that Cyberpunk 2077 was not ready yet. As reported by the New York Times, it seems that CD Projekt RED is accused of "false statements in order to obtain financial benefits" (article 286 of the Criminal Code). At the moment, the shareholder of the Polish company, Mikolaj Orzechowski, is dealing with the matter.

Technical problems, unsatisfactory experience on consoles, the lack of initial warning in the game: “Cyberpunk 2077 can cause epilepsy in those it suffers ”, the lack of transparency on the accessibility of the title, the uncertain situation that now afflicts the staff, are just some of the 'sins' committed by CD Projekt RED in this launch to be forgotten. Although CD Projekt RED has claimed to have recovered the production costs abundantly, the loss of money in the last few days is very worrying. According to a report released by Bloomberg, CD Projekt Red suffered economic damage in excess of 1 billion, with the company's shares plummeting, albeit not at all-time lows. What will become of CD Projekt RED? Stay tuned for more news to share with you.
