Audi e-tron GT: the super electric sedan will arrive in 2021, 600 hp for the RS
Audi's e-tron project will expand its product offering very soon. After the SUVs, the awaited GT will make its debut in 2021: a high-performance electric sedan. The first prototype appeared in 2018, sculpted and muscular lines and low and sharp bodywork anticipate a style that will also be taken up by the final model.

After a series of postponements, Audi has confirmed the arrival of the e-tron GT in the first months of 2021. The model will enrich the range of electric cars of the four rings of Ingolstad, offering, alongside the SUVs, a GT suitable for those who are not only looking for space and habitability but also performance and driving fun. .

Similar to the Porsche Taycan

The synergies within the Volkswagen group allow an exchange of resources and projects involving different brands. Audi will rely on the technical basis offered by Porsche Taycan to build its e-tron GT. Currently the electric sedan with the best driving dynamics available. The aesthetic impact will be remarkable: over five meters in length on rather muscular and aggressive lines.

Low and well-proportioned thanks to an ideal arrangement of the mechanical and structural elements: an electric motor for each axis and battery placed at the center, thus reducing the overall dimensions to a minimum. The center of gravity is very low, maximum grip as well as stability. The battery (as for the Taycan) is 83.7 kWh with 800 Volt voltage with dedicated cooling system. The autonomy should allow you to travel around 400 km with a full tank of energy.

Up to 600 hp

Audi will offer the e-tron GT in three versions. The coupling model to the range will cost 138 thousand euros in Germany; the next version is S while at the top of the range is the high-performance RS version. The latter is the only one for which performance has been announced: the electric motors will deliver a total power of 600 hp, allowing the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.5 seconds. The maximum speed is 250 km / h.

The driving dynamics will be enhanced by the four-wheel steering, the optimal torque management thanks to the presence of a sophisticated torque vectoring system. Taking advantage of the car's excellent performance results in a quick depletion of the available charge. To avoid unpleasant unforeseen events, Audi has integrated the fast charging system up to 270 kW for the e-tron GT, thus allowing refueling in a short time.
