Honor, new industrial park

"We are proud to announce the opening of our new manufacturing facility which will be an integral part of our strategy to ensure that our wide range of premium products are of the highest quality." These are the words of the CEO of Honor George Zhao on the day of the inauguration of the Honor Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park, the first self-financed factory of the Chinese brand.

The new industrial area will be the seat of four fundamental activities: the certification of the quality control of new products, the incubation of craft and technology novelties, the production of flagship devices and the construction of new artificial intelligence production capacities by Honor.

“As a supplier of premium technology products , being able to guarantee our standards of reliability and quality will be key as we continue our journey to become a leading technology brand in the world, ”said Zhao again. The Honor Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park will essentially be a "gymnasium" to train and test the new Honor branded automatic production technologies.

Within the industry there is already a precision automatic assembly machine, specifically useful for installing the Super Curved Display 89 °, one of the characteristic elements of Honor smartphones. This machine can reach an assembly precision of 75 microns, the measurement of the diameter of a hair.

Other noteworthy automations have been included in the battery assembly process, which now can count on a detection system high precision optical capable of detecting foreign bodies (up to 40 microns) and monitoring pressure in real time. All at zero risk for both staff and the end user.

To date, 75% of production is completed thanks to the use of automatic systems. The cycle time of smartphones is very short: one is produced every 28.5 seconds.

Further revolutions concern the material distribution mechanism and, finally, quality control. Honor has adopted the concept of “manufacturing supermarket” to link the demand of the production line in real time to the supply of the required components. Furthermore, the components are automatically delivered to the production station thanks to the help of AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles).

As for the final tests - and therefore the quality control - Honor carries out a total of 150 of them. of anomalies, an alarm is triggered followed by the timely correction of the problem by extremely rigorous inspectors.
