The departure date of World's End Harem, an adaptation of Kotaro Shono's sci-fi manga of the same name, has been postponed. Crunchyroll Italia had announced that the anime would also come to us in the course of autumn 2021, more precisely the first episode should have debuted on October 8 on Tokyo MX, BS Fuji and AT-X channels. Now, the official website of the series has announced that the broadcast will be postponed to January 2022 due to production delays.

The anime's World's End Harem is the adaptation of the manga by Kotaro Shono, launched in May 2016 on the Shonen Jump + website and app and published in Italy by the J-POP publishing house (get your copy on Amazon!).

Yuu Nobuta (High School Fleet, Maesetsu! Opening Act, Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear) is directing the anime at Studio Gokumi and AXsiZ. Tatsuya Takahashi (The IDOLM @ STER Cinderella Girls, Domestic Girlfriend, Val x Love) is responsible for the scripts for the series. Masaru Koseki (Happiness!, Demon King Daimao) is drawing the characters. Shigenobu Ookawa (Tayutama - Kiss on My Deity, Miss Monochrome) is composing the music. The singer H-el-ical // performs the opening theme Just Do It, while the singer EXiNA performs the ending theme Ending Mirage.

Set in the near future, in Tokyo in 2040. Reito, a boy suffering from an incurable disease, wants to meet his childhood friend Erisa again, and then decides to hibernate to cure her of her illness. While the World’s End Harem anime was originally set to premiere on TV in Japan in October, it was quickly postponed after its first episode and dubbed a “special advance broadcast.” Now that things have been properly scheduled, the adaptation of writer LINK and illustrator Kotaro Shono’s manga will finally kick off its full run starting with the first episode on January 7, 2022.

Crunchyroll will simulcast the episodes shortly after they air in Japan.

In addition to the broadcast, the series will stream on various platforms in Japan both in censored and uncensored form. An updated version of the NSFW trailer debuted to reflect the new date.

Synopsis:

The time is near future-Tokyo, Japan in 2040.
