Formula 1, the Made in Italy and Emilia Romagna Grand Prix is born
Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio and the President of Emilia-Romagna Stefano Bonaccini recently signed an agreement in order to carry out a communication campaign called the Grand Prix of Made in Italy and Emilia Romagna. The latter will inevitably be directed to the automotive sector and related sectors in 26 priority countries, and will take place on the occasion of the Imola Formula 1 Grand Prix set for next April 18.

The new initiative can be considered a great opportunity for the recovery of various sectors which, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, have inevitably seen a penalization of production activities. Not surprisingly, the automotive sector can be considered a driving force for the sector of technology, innovation and Italian manufacturing, if we consider that in 2019 it recorded a turnover of almost 50 billion euros with an export that reached figures of over 21 billion.

As reiterated, the agreement saw the commitment and consequent signature of the Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio and the President of Emilia Romagna Stefano Bonaccini for the realization of the new campaign, but among the partners will also be the ICE Agency and the Regional Promotion Agency. However, following the launch at the F1 Grand Prix scheduled for April, there will be many other events in which the initiative will be repeated, including Moto GP, World Superbike in Misano Adriatico and Motor Valley Fest.

L he agreement inaugurates an unprecedented synergy between institutions, at national and regional level, for the relaunch of exports. Our goal is to enhance, as part of an event of the highest international appeal, the image and competitiveness of Italian products and technologies, through the combination of sport and tourism, between passion for engines, creativity, beauty and territory, commented Minister Luigi di Maio.

According to what was declared by the Minister, therefore, the objective places economic recovery at the center of the initiative, underlining however that the basis of the agreement is the will to restart the economy through a communication that bring out the excellence of the territory. There were also statements by President Stefano Bonaccini, who reiterated how sport can inevitably become the protagonist of a recovery and a consequent rebirth of the territory.
