5G as a driver for post-COVID-19 recovery
69% of decision makers believe that 5G will help their company overcome the difficulties that COVID-19 has brought with it, 48% say they have already provided (or plan to supply within the next few months) a smartphone or a device compatible with the new mobile networks to employees. This is what emerges from the 5G Business Report published by Verizon.

5G Business Report: the new networks will help the economic recovery

The document is the result of a study conducted in the United States (in collaboration with Morning Consult), but it is entirely reasonable to assume that the same dynamics can emerge globally. Reference is also made to the so-called Mobile Edge Computing considered important for the activity by 76% of those involved. Still, in terms of opportunities, 80% of respondents consider 5G capable of creating new ones for the managed company, 79% for the entire sector and always 79% for the role covered. The time frame taken into consideration is that of the next two years. These are the words of Tami Erwin, CEO of Verizon Business.

Over the last year, 5G has become a priority for companies that must manage the tight timelines of digital transformation. The report's findings underscore the critical role 5G will play in economic recovery and growth. We are committed and ready to help our partners make this transition quickly and smoothly.

Among the data and statistics that emerged of particular interest are those collected regarding the presumed impact that the new generation mobile networks will have on the various aspects of the business. As can be seen from the image below, an important share of business leaders believe it may relate to IT security, operational efficiency, productivity and communication between employees.

Finally, companies are more willing than consumers to bet on the adoption of the new standard. To consult the full version of the new report published by Verizon on 5G, please refer to the pages of the official website.
