PC, August 2021

What are the best games coming to PC in August 2021? The most ambitious is certainly New World, the MMORPG produced by Amazon that is about to finally make its debut, in the hope that at least this project of the American giant will meet the expectations of users.

Then there are the turn-based strategy Humankind with its civilizations, the original Twelve Minutes adventure, the medieval battles of King's Bounty 2, the fun platform sections based on special powers of Psychonauts 2 and the promising Studio Ghibli-style atmospheres of the very Italian Baldo: The Guardian Owls.

Humankind

Humankind, one of the civilizations available in the game. Out August 17th

Developed by Amplitude Studios, Humankind is an interesting turn-based strategy game in which we can rewrite the history of the human race, taking a civilization at the beginning and accompanying it through the centuries between cultural contaminations, fundamental turning points, technological innovations and the inevitable war scenarios: all aspects capable of producing growth and changes.

Extremely similar in mechanics to the classic Civilization, to which it is clearly inspired, the game focuses heavily on customizations, on the management of a map in continuous evolution through the various expansions, on an excellent artistic sector and on a particularly solid strategic system.

Twelve Minutes

Twelve Minutes and its original view from 'tall. Out August 19

Twelve Minutes is an original thriller-style adventure where our goal is to change the course of events that will unfold over the next twelve minutes. Trapped in a sort of time loop, we will have to understand why the police broke into her home, arresting our wife and accusing her of murder while we were being savagely beaten.

With a fixed overhead view of our apartment and a "click and drag" interface, accompanied by the voices of actors James McAvoy, Daisy Ridley and Willem Dafoe, we will have to exploit every detail and every information in order to break the loop and create a different timeline, in which the final outcome for the characters can be positive.

King's Bounty 2

King's Bounty 2, the troops ready to move . Out August 24

New episode for the famous RPG series, King's Bounty 2 promises to fascinate us with a brand new story, completely new enemies, a multifaceted faction system and a rich open world structure that represents the peculiarities of the kingdom of Antara, plunged into chaos due to an internal war for the independence of the counties.

With bandits raging in the streets and new threats from inside and outside the borders, we will have to control a brave leader determined to restore order, managing his troops in a turn-based combat system, making tough decisions and savoring the epic character of the saga.

Psychonauts 2

Psychonauts 2, the protagonist Raz. Out August 25

Set after the events of Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin, Psychonauts 2 puts us in the shoes of the young acrobat Razputin "Raz" Aquato, a character with psychic powers that we will have to use in order to restore order to the organization commanded by Truman Zanotto, who after being kidnapped in the first chapter seems to have changed.

From the gameplay point of view, the formula of the title developed by Double Fine Productions remains faithful to traditional mechanics, and we will also see this time visiting the minds of several NPCs, jumping from platform to platform and using our skills to defeat the demons that lurk in people's conscience.

Baldo: The Guardian Owls

Baldo: The Guardian Owls boasts a graphic style inspired by the works of Studio Ghibli. Out August 27th

Baldo: The Guardian Owls is the new title of the Italian studio NA.P.S. Team, the authors of the classic Shadow Fighter for the Amiga and the Gekido series. However, in this case we are talking about an adventure inspired by the atmospheres and mechanisms of The Legend of Zelda, while from the graphic point of view the references to the works of Studio Ghibli are very evident.

In the role of the young Baldo, a boy with a pure heart chosen by destiny to complete an important task, we will have to move within a large open world in cel shading, complete environmental puzzles, face increasingly dangerous enemies and reveal the secrets of a world as fascinating as it is insidious.

New World

Out August 31st

Amazon's ambitious project is finally in the pipeline: New World will lead us to the lands of Aeternum, trying to involve us with a fascinating story, completely dubbed in Italian, as we move between the three factions fighting for the conquest of the world: the Marauders, the Union and the Pact. Who will we decide to follow in our adventure?

Interesting mix of MMO and survival elements, the game tries to simplify some typical aspects of this genre of productions to make sure that we can focus on character growth, for then embark on furious and frenetic PvP battles for the conquest of territories but without disdaining the PvE component for all users who prefer it.
