New UNIQLO collection in collaboration with Pokémon

Japanese clothing company UNIQLO in collaboration with Pokémon Company has announced a new clothing collection in collaboration with acclaimed street artist Meguru Yamaguchi.

Yamaguchi has prepared unique and eye-catching designs

How revealed by Mantan Web, the collection will boast the designs of the most disparate pocket animals, belonging to all generations. There will certainly be Pokémon most loved by the public such as Pikachu or Gengar, made in the unique style of Yamaguchi.



The collection, at the moment has only been announced for the Japanese market, however we are confident which will also be brought to the West. In the past, other UNIQLO collections such as Mobile Suit Gundam or Shonen Jump, were subsequently also sold internationally. There is therefore a good chance that this Pokémon-themed one will also come to us.

The entire UNIQLO collection will arrive in Japanese stores in September and we just have to wait to be able to better see all the unique designs prepared by acclaimed Yamaguchi.

We are during the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Pokémon franchise, the Japanese company has announced numerous initiatives to celebrate the silver wedding of the release of Pokemon Green and Pokemon red, which took place back in 1996. The one with UNIQLO is just one of the many collaborations announced during this year.
