Amazon University ends successfully, the rich spring season kicks off
In the last few days, the Amazon UNIVERSITY Esports Winter Split final was held in each of the countries, with the announcement of the first winners of this edition.

In Italy, over 40 universities from all regions participated to this first part of the competition. We are happy to announce the following Italian winners of the Winter Split: League of Legends: The Knights of Trieste (University of "Gabriele d'Annunzio") Legends of Runeterra: Bulat (LUISS “Guido Carli”); Clash Royale: ItsRob (University of Turin); Rainbow Six: Siege: Humble Team (University of Rome "Tor Vergata").

During the Winter Season the Amazon UNIVERSITY Esports competition boasted the collaboration of exceptional sponsors, who provided strong support to the league since its inception, such as Riot Games and Intel, a leader in the gaming sector, which has provided the latest generation technologies and maximum power in the field of gaming PCs to all competitions, together with Philips, Samsung and Logitech, a brand leader in gaming peripherals, thus consolidating participation and support in the world of esports.

During this Spring Split there was a growth among students who follow the Amazon UNIVERSITY Esports League throughout Europe. The qualifying tournaments held in Spain, Italy and the UK attracted more than 5 million viewers, connected on different channels (streaming, Twitch and social networks).

From now and to the end of the Christmas break, the Spring Season of Amazon University Esports in Italy will see the modification of some titles. Rainbow Six Siege will be removed from the competition, Brawl Stars and Rocket League will enter the list of titles with League of Legends, Clash Royale and Legends of Runeterra.

Registration started on February 5th and the competition will end with the Spring Season finals, in the week starting May 6th.

As in previous occasions, the winning teams of the university finals played in the various countries, they will represent their country in the European Championship, UEMASTERS (UNIVERSITY Esports Masters), in which the teams of the 900 universities and 16 European countries that have classified will compete.

In the edition 2021 of the UNIVERSITY Esports Masters (UEMasters) competition has been renewed, with the aim of offering a fantastic experience to university students, and with the aim of allowing more countries and regions to join the project, thanks to a format that includes a European League among the winning teams of Winter Split.

In the specific case of Italy, the 2 best League of Legends teams from the Winter Season will enter this league, and will have the opportunity to compete with the best universities in Europe. There will also be a last chance in June, when a team of students from each country will be able to participate in the “Last Chance Qualifier”, a mini-tournament that will determine the last four teams that will take part in the UEMasters Finals.
