PS5 and PS4, February 2021: the best games of the month
February 2021 is set to be a very interesting month for PS5, characterized by the debut of Control and Nioh on next-generation platforms, as well as the arrival of the spectacular arcade racer Destruction AllStars, free for PlayStation Plus subscribers.

However, there are also several releases for PS4: from the action game Persona 5 Strikers, which brings the fascinating characters of Persona 5 to the world of musou, to the disturbing atmospheres of Little Nightmares 2, the new adventure of Tarsier Studios.

Control

Out on PS5 February 2

Remedy Entertainment's metroidvania-style action shooter finally lands on next-gen platforms, with a version that includes ray tracing and is therefore able to offer even more spectacular graphics. One more reason to get involved in the fascinating story of Control.

As Jesse Faden, the new director of the Bureau of Control, we will face a decidedly complex task when an unknown entity, the Hiss, breaks through in our plane of reality and takes possession of the agency's headquarters, also taking possession of numerous men who are inside the building.

Destruction AllStars

Out on PS5 the February 2

Available directly in the PlayStation Plus line-up for the month of February, therefore downloadable for free by subscribers to the service, Destruction AllStars is the new arcade racer by Lucid Games and Wushu Studios, which starts from experience of the classic Twisted Metal to put us at the wheel of vehicles modified for combat.

After choosing our character among the sixteen stars available, we will have the task of eliminating all opponents using special skills and spectacular acrobatic maneuvers, climbing the rankings and completing the events of a single player campaign that is assisted also from competitive online modes.

Nioh Collection

Out on PS5 February 5th

The extraordinary soulslike series from Team Ninja arrives on PS5 with Nioh Collection, a collection which includes both chapters in a remastered version, with different graphics modes that make the most of the new hardware and allow you to play at 4K and 60 fps or at 1080p and up to 120 fps for a gameplay never so precise and responsive.

Set in a dark and eerie feudal Japan, where the forces of evil have taken to the field to defeat men and conquer territory in the midst of the wars of unification, Nioh and Nioh 2 will see us no control two different warriors, both extremely skilled in combat and with special abilities: an extra resource to overcome increasingly stronger opponents.

Little Nightmares 2

Out on PS5 and PS4 on February 11th

Little Nightmares 2 throws us back into the nightmare world created by Tarsier Studios, this time telling us the story of an unreleased character, Mono: a little boy trapped in a sort of distorted dimension, but who will be helped by Six, the protagonist of the first chapter, to find a way out.

Characterized by a great atmosphere and a fascinating design for the scenarios and creatures, the game always keeps the tension high avoiding providing us with certainties. As we explore the environments we will therefore be accompanied by a constant sense of uncertainty, aware that at any moment a new pitfall could arise from around the corner.

Persona 5 Strikers

Out on PS4 February 23rd

Set after the events of Atlus' extraordinary RPG, Persona 5 Strikers transforms the original experience into a frenetic musou-style action game in which, at the helm of the Phantom Thieves, we will have the task of facing hordes of enemies and corruption within a distorted and alternate reality created by the mysterious Alice.

The gameplay of the game, however, distances itself from the various spin-offs of Dynasty Warriors, introducing curious stealth mechanics that allow you to solve the duels in a faster way, and which are an interesting alternative to the typical frontal clashes of the genre, which can quickly become chaotic and complicated.
