World of Warcraft Classic - Burning Crusade: Confusion about beta start

World of Warcraft Classic - Burning Crusade

The beta test of World of Warcraft Classic: The Burning Crusade is about to begin. At least that's what some players thought until recently. Among other things, the well-known YouTuber and streamer "MrGM", who has been specializing in World of Warcraft Classic for some time, suddenly got access to the beta.

He published several screenshots on Twitter showing how he was able to download the beta client of World of Warcraft Classic (buy now € 24.95): The Burning Crusade and even get to the login screen. However, logging in was not possible due to the lack of a suitable server. He was also able to call up the options menu and make some settings. But before you are desperate or disappointed that you have not yet received a beta invitation, you should read on: The test phase has not even started.

Community manager Josh Allen made this clear a little later via Twitter . There he stated:

"Hey, Hi, Hello. The Burning Crusade beta has NOT started, and no one outside of Blizzard has yet been marked for access. There is a bug that causes some People see something in the launcher, but it has nothing to do with whether or not you will have access when it goes live. "

Many players have wondered how quickly Blizzard would make a WoW Classic Burning Crusade beta available after the developer said it would come “soon” during BlizzConline,” and the query has finally been answered.

The time is now. Blizzard’s game launching client, Battle.net, has started to give select players the option to download the “Burning Crusade Classic Beta.”

Upon clicking the option, player’s can’t actually click play, but they can begin the downloading process. There are no “keys” to get into the beta, as is the case for many other games. Instead, players get a chance at joining the beta through an opt-in process.

While players can’t yet walk through the Dark Portal or even enter the beta, there’s a high likelihood that we could see people on it as soon as tomorrow.

On Tuesdays, North American servers have a weekly shutdown for maintenance. The beta could very well go live as soon as that maintenance is over.
