Fortnite Season 6: the fury is unleashed, confirmed the arrival of Neymar Jr and Lara Croft

Fortnite Season 6

Fury is the subtitle of Fortnite Season 6 Chapter 2, officially started this morning. We have already reported some leaks but now it's time to clarify and discover all the official news of the new season of Epic Games Battle Royale.

Fortnite Battle Royale

The island is transforms into a jungle with ferocious animals such as wolves and boars ready to hunt you down, plus the crafting mechanic makes its appearance that will allow you to build even more powerful new weapons: "Don't just find your tools. Create them. Using the Loot obtained from wild animals you can create your weapons wherever you want. Build high-damage primal weapons and high-precision classic weapons, as well as flaming bows. "

Wolves are not the greatest danger of the isolates since "the fiercest creatures are yet to arrive" as pointed out by Epic Games, referring to the fury of Neymar Jr. The leak of the past few days has proved correct and the Brazilian footballer is the new Fortnite star, even if at the moment we still don't know anything about his appearance. Confirmed the new skins of Fortnite Season 6 among which we find Agent Jones, Lara Croft, Raz, Tarana, Corvina and Coccode.

Fortnite Creative Mode

In addition to bug fixes and technical problems, Epic also implements an improved Barrier Device: "The improved Barrier device has arrived, with some graphics updates! First, the device Barrier used to be tied to the construction grid; now it can be placed anywhere without needing to anchor to pre-built structures. The new Barrier device can be cut, copied, glued and rotated, and is added to the Quick Bar instead of the trap inventory. Barrier offers improved scaling selections. If you need a smaller or larger barrier, scalability improvements allow you to change the size of the barrier before and after placement. "

Fortnite Save the World

The Double Strike Wargames event is back as well as Wildcat Lucky Four Leaf Clover and the Highland Cat Warrior. For the rest there are not too many news and Epic reminds that the Ventura Campi Clementi Season will continue until April 3.

Every ‘Fortnite’ Season 6 Map Change: The Spire, Boney Burbs And More

Fortnite’s map has gotten a bit of a makeover this morning. Epic Games is calling Season 6, which kicked off earlier today, “Primal.” The various new locations all certainly have a primal feel to them.

This season, players will no longer be confined to fishing—now you can hunt animals such as wild boar, wolves, chickens and even frogs and use their raw materials for crafting. You can also break cars and use mechanical parts for crafting.

The map itself has undergone quite a change, though most of the Named Locations from last season remain. Here’s the map:

As you can see, the biggest change is the lack of a desert in the center of the map. Orange-leafed trees now blanket the center of the map. This new autumnal forest stretches out in the shape of a star fish. It could possibly continue to spread throughout the season.

There are three new Named Locations and several new landmarks, including towers where you can take on AI “Guardians.” These mini-bosses are reasonably tough and drop good loot. When you kill one, they also drop an orb which you can take to The Spire at the center of the map to exchange for the Mythic Spire Jump Boots.

These smaller towers look like shorter versions of The Spire itself:

Okay, on to the new Named Locations / Points Of Interest.

Boney Burbs

Boney Burbs replaces Salty Towers just to the west of The Spire. It’s a ramshackle urban area with lots of fun buildings that remind me of the Flotilla aesthetic from earlier this Chapter.

Colossal Crops

Colossal Crops replaces Colossal Colosseum and the various nearby farms. It’s now a mixture of the Colosseum’s ruins, farmland and more similar ramshackle buildings.

You’ll also find this type of building outside of these locations. I’ve encountered one bridge that had been completely overhauled in this fashion:

I like this look a lot. It also matches the look of the “Primal” weapons in the game, which have something of a Mad Maxian / barbarian sci-fi aesthetic now.

The Spire

Finally we come to The Spire, the biggest new Named Location. This spot has changed pretty much every season since Chapter 2 began. It was a super hero base, then the ruins of a super base, then the Zero Point and now the Spire.

It’s not just a tower. There are stone buildings around the tower itself, with lots of ziplines running all over the place. It’s pretty cool.

There are various smaller changes also, including dinosaur bones and eggs here and there:

I wonder if we’ll get dinosaurs later this season? Maybe a Turok crossover.

Other than that, there’s not a whole lot. Mando and his ship and the Cantina are all gone, of course. There are likely more subtle changes around the map that I haven’t seen yet. Let me know if you find anything cool.
