Dying Light 2: Announcement came way too early

Dying Light 2

A few days ago, the team behind the action game Dying Light 2 announced that they would soon make a big announcement. You can expect them on Wednesday, March 17th.

Dying Light 2 is coming in any case

In a tweet it says: "We have a few words about the development process of Dying Light 2 (buy now € 59.99) to share with you. Be there next Wednesday. " Players responded rather cautiously and fear that the development will be very chaotic. The team replied and said: "The work on DL2 is progressing. We announced the game way too early, but it is far from a development hell."

It also says that Dying Light 2 will definitely be released and that there will be no early access release. If the zombie action game is released, it will be a regular release. The team has not yet revealed when the time will come. The release will probably be the subject of the big announcement on March 17th. But if you don't want to wait that long, you can join Techland's official Discord channel. Because the developers want to announce the big information a little earlier. When exactly is not yet certain. So it won't be long before we finally learn more about the interesting action game.

In this course elements play a role. After a zombie apocalypse you live in a rebuilt city and experience many adventures in a large open world that revolve around the infected but also about the new world order.

‘Dying Light 2’ developers promise an update on Wednesday

Techland have teased a new update on Dying Light 2‘s development next week.

On Friday (March 12) the official Dying Light Twitter account shared a teaser video which promised a Dev Update on Wednesday March 17.

“We’ve got a few words to share with you about the Dying Light 2 development process.” the tweet said, “Be sure to be with us next Wednesday.”

An extremely short video accompanied the message, showing on of Dying Light’s “volatile” zombies snarling. Both the video and the tweet recommend joining the Dying Light discord to get the news first.

Dying Light 2 was announced during Microsoft’s E3 press conference, with a proposed release date of Spring 2020. Since then, the game has been indefinitely delayed, with lead writer Pawel Selinger leaving the studio in early 2021.

Replies to the announcement of the development update are mixed due to the long silence from the dev. One reply compares it to Cyberpunk 2077, saying: “The previous news worries me a lot, i’m still kinda shocked this game feels like dev hell.”

The official account responded: “Afaik the definition of a dev hell requires the game to not make any development progress, while DL2 keeps moving forward”, before saying “we announced the game too early but it’s far from being in a dev hell”.

In February, rumours of Microsoft buying Techland were put to rest by a community manager who stressed that “Techland is an independent studio” and had not been purchased by a publisher.
