OnePlus 11 vs iPhone 14 Pro

The eternal struggle between the Android and iOS worlds never ceases to exist. Over the past few days, we at MobileLabs have created two articles in which we talked about the pros and cons of migrating from one system to another (here the article in which we deal with the transition from iOS to Android, while here the article in we are talking about the transition from Android to iOS).

Today we will focus on comparing two of the top of the range of the moment, namely OnePlus 11 and iPhone 14 Pro. Which one to choose between the two? Let's analyze them together!

-->

Aesthetic differences

Let's start immediately with a comparison between the aesthetic characteristics of the two phones. OnePlus 11 weighs 205g while iPhone 14 Pro weighs 240g. They respectively have a dimension of 163.1 x 74.1 x 8.53 mm as regards OnePlus 11, while iPhone 14 Pro has a dimension of 160.7 x 77.6 x 7.9 mm . Although iPhone is smaller, it is the heavier of the two.

--> Both have a 6.7-inch display, although the OnePlus 11 has a higher resolution of 1440×3216 pixels with a pixel density of 526ppi. iPhone 14 Pro has a resolution of 1290×2796 pixels with a density that therefore stands at 460ppi. In all top-of-the-range displays, there is now a variable frequency refresh rate from 1 to 120Hz, and these two devices are both equipped with it. OnePlus 11 mounts a display of type LTPO 3 AMOLED , while iPhone 14 mounts its proprietary Super Retina XDR OLED display , which is nothing more than an OLED display improved by Apple standards, mainly with higher color rendering. On this type of display, the contrast and brightness are incredibly high.

Both excellent displays but, in terms of specifications, the OnePlus 11 is more advanced if we don't look at the peak brightness than for iPhone is even 2000 nits against the "only" 1300 nits of the OnePlus 11.

Snapdragon vs Apple Bionic

Like many other top of the Android range, OnePlus 11 features Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, a processor with 1 3.2Ghz Cortex-X3 core, 2 2.8Ghz Cortex-A715 cores, 2 2.8Ghz Cortex-A710 cores and 3 2Ghz Cortex cores A510. iPhone 14 Pro is equipped with the latest proprietary Apple A16 Bionic chip, made up of 2 Avalance cores at 3.46 Ghz and 4 Blizzard cores at 2.02GHz.

--> Regarding the graphics sector, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 has an Adreno 740 GPU capable of running the latest games on the market, while the Apple device has its own 5-core GPU which is certainly no less. In both devices, the usability of the games is pleasantly fluid and fast loading. The only real difference is the titles available for both platforms, which often include some games exclusively for iOS or Android.

Speaking of RAM, the OnePlus 11 has 8GB of RAM in the 128GB model. internal memory, up to a maximum of 16GB in the 256GB model, while the iPhone 14 Pro has "only" 6GB. To date, as we well know, this is a purely commercial fact as with current operating systems we do not notice an effective performance advantage beyond a certain standard amount of equipped RAM. Both devices lack a microSD slot to expand the memory.

The top of the Apple range, instead, mounts a 3200mAh battery with support for fast charging (max 30W) which allows you to recharge from 0% to 50% in 30 minutes. Despite this, it is still possible to cover the day calmly and even a little more calmly.

Comparison of cameras

If we move to the photographic sector, we notice substantial differences in terms of megapixels between the two devices. OnePlus mounts 3 rear sensors of 50, 32 and 48 MP respectively. iPhone 14 Pro instead mounts 3 sensors of 48, 12 and 12 MP respectively. In the case of OnePlus we have focal lengths of f/1.8 + f/2.0 + f/2.2, while for the iPhone 14 Pro we have focal aperture values equal to f/1.78 + f/2.2 + f/2.8.

Finally, the Android device mounts a 16MP f/2.4 front camera, while the iPhone 14 Pro has a 12MP f/1.9 camera with autofocus. OnePlus can count on a maximum angle of 115° for its wide-angle camera and a 2x optical zoom, while the Apple device has a 3x optical zoom with a 120° wide angle.

Prices

The gap in terms of prices between the two devices is quite important. OnePlus 11, despite its largely more advanced features than the iPhone 14 Pro, costs significantly less. On Amazon, the 256GB internal memory model with 16GB of RAM costs 921.00 euros, against the iPhone 14 Pro which in its 128GB version stands at a discount of 1,179.00 euros (1,271.00 euros for the version with the same memory, i.e. 256GB).
