The LEGO-themed specials have always been very popular with fans, also thanks to the success of the video games released on consoles and PCs. But that's not all, because during the Celebration the new brick sets dedicated to Obi-Wan Kenobi and BD-1, droid from the Jedi: Fallen Order video game (of which the sequel has been officially announced) were also shown.

A great time to be a fan of the legendary saga created by George Lucas. We remind you that at the moment the first two episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi on Disney + are available (here our review) and in the summer Andor, the prequel series of Rogue One with Diego Luna again in the role of the rebel spy will arrive.

LEGO Star Wars: Summer Vacation Special Hits Disney+ in August

The LEGO Star Wars gang is ringing in the summer holidays with a brand new adventure on Disney+ later this year. Lucasfilm capped off Star Wars Celebration‘s Friday announcements by revealing an upcoming animated special titled LEGO Star Wars: Summer Vacation. The special will premiere on Disney+ on August 5. You can view the official announcement (along with some new key art) below.

According to a Celebration panel (via IGN), the special picks up after the events of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. To celebrate their recent victory over Emperor Palpatine, Rey and her friends decide that a well-earned rest from all the action is in order, so they decide to take a vacation. Unfortunately, they discover that they aren’t the only characters in the Star Wars universe who have tried this over the years…and it rarely goes according to plan.

Other characters in the special include Finn, Poe Dameron, Rose Tico, Chewbacca. However, most of them probably won’t be voiced by the actors who played them in the films. In past specials, the only actors who reprised their roles from the movies were Kelly Marie Tran (Rose), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), and Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian).

Additionally, Summer Vacation will feature appearances by Obi-Wan Kenobi, Boba Fett, Jabba the Hutt, Anakin Skywalker, Darth Vader, Kylo Ren, Han Solo, Leia Organa, Palpatine, and more. Wick Cooper and Valeria, who were previously introduced in LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures, will show up as well. But surprisingly, Lucasfilm also promised a cameo from Weird Al Yankovic, who will voice a character named a character named Vic Vankoh. So we can definitely expect the characters to break into song at least once.
