Polyphony Digital, the Japanese team currently working on Gran Turismo 7, turns 23 today and Kazunori Yamauchi has seen fit to write a post to thank all the studio fans.

Although Gran Turismo 7 for PS5 has been postponed to 2022, the extraordinary care that Polyphony Digital puts into all its projects has meant that hardly anyone complained about the news.

We know well that respecting the announced launch dates has never been a dogma for the Japanese team, which nevertheless has always shown that it has made the best use of the time at its disposal. This will be the case again.

"Polyphony Digital celebrates its 23rd birthday," wrote Yamauchi on Twitter. "We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who has supported us over the years."

Founded in 1994, the studio built two arcade racers, Motor Toon Grand Prix 1 and 2, before practicing for life to the Gran Turismo franchise starting in 1997.

Gran Turismo Sport PS4 Update 1.64 Fixes Sport Mode And Lobby Issue



Polyphony Digital has popped the hood on the Gran Turismo Sport update 1.64 patch notes, which is now available to download on PS4. This isn’t a particularly major update, and only come with a couple of fixes.

The following has been implemented in the latest update for Gran Turismo Sport.

Main Feature

1. Sport Mode & Lobby– Repaired the issue where the yellow flag would not display correctly in certain situations.
