About the spin-off Saint Seiya - Saintia Sho

Saint Seiya - Saintia Sho è written and illustrated by Chimaki Kuori and has been published since 19 August 2013 in the monthly Champion Red of Akita Shoten. In Italy it is published by the Planet Manga publishing house. The manga ended on July 19, 2021 in issue 9 of the magazine.

Shortly before the defeat of the Gemini Saga, on the eve of the Galactic War, Saori Kido (reincarnation of Athena) suffers an attack at her Villa by Ate (leader of the evil spirits faithful to the goddess Eris, the Dryads) who intends to kill her by taking advantage of the low number of Knights in her defense. However, the plans of the Dryad are thwarted by two Saintia, the warrior maidens who act as handmaidens of the warrior goddess: Kyoko of Equullus and Mii of Dolphin. However, when Ate recognizes Shoko, Kyoko's sister and Saori's schoolmate, the girl predestined as the receptacle of the goddess of discord, the Saintia of Equellus decides to sacrifice herself by offering herself in place of her little sister as Eris's body. To honor and save her sister, Shoko then decides to collect her inheritance as Saintia del Cavallino and to fight alongside Athena as Sho of Equuleus.

The manga inspired a 10-episode anime, created by the animation studio Gonzo in collaboration with Toei Animation, directed by Masato Tamagawa and available on Crunchyroll.
