Diabolik Latin America Ghostbuster Legacy Dragon Girl The latest Book

Diabolik

In the version of Diabolik by the Manetti Bros. we find the King of Terror (played by Luca Marinelli) committed to terrorize the town of Clerville with his portentous thefts. The arrival in the city of the wealthy Lady Eva Kant (Miriam Leone) pushes Diabolik to devise a plan to get his hands on the jewel in the woman's possession, the Pink Diamond. However, Eva becomes the perfect accomplice for the thief, who in the meantime has fallen in love with her, and together they will know how to face Inspector Ginko (Valerio Mastandrea), determined to put the handcuffs around the wrists of the mysterious Diabolik.

Latin America

The tricolor is still present with Latin America, among the best Sky Cinema films of May. A film written and directed by Damiano and Fabio D’Innocenzo, Latin America will be available to all Sky subscribers on Sunday 8 May on Cinema Due. The film was presented at the Venice International Film Festival and its cast includes Elio Germano, Astrid Casali, Carlotta Gamba, Federica Pala, Maurizio Lastrico and Sara Ciocca.

Ghostbusters: Legacy

As the title states, the protagonists pick up the legacy left by their predecessors and continue the ghost hunt begun in 1984 with the film by Ivan Reitman. However, the legacy is not only figurative, as this time behind the camera we find Ivan's son, Jason Reitman, thanks to whom the saga finds its continuation (the announcement that Ghostbusters 4 will take place these days). Impossible not to include Ghostbusters: Legacy in our small list of the best Sky Cinema films of May: the arrival on the screen is scheduled for May 16 on Sky Cinema Uno and to keep us company with their "phantasmagorical" adventures there will be Finn Wolfhard, Paul Rudd , Carrie Coon, Mckenna Grace, as well as some names of the "old guard".

Dragon Girl

Among the best Sky Cinema films of May, there are also titles for the whole family, such as Dragon Girl, a film directed by Katarina Launing that talks about the friendship between a girl and a dragon. Filmed between Norway and the Czech Republic and presented at the Giffoni Film Festival in 2021, Dragon Girl is distributed by Koch Media and stars Anders Baasmo Christiansen, Kyrre Haugen Sydness, Vanessa Borgli and Kai Kolstad Rodseth.

In the village of Borington. an 11-year-old girl is hiding from the police as a refugee, as she fears that her condition will force her to leave the country. Having found refuge in the basement of a house whose inhabitants are temporarily absent, Sara nevertheless finds something surprising: a small dragon. The presence of both will, however, be discovered by the young aspiring YouTuber Mortimer. To find out how these new acquaintances can evolve, all that remains is to mark the appointment with Dragon Girl for May 20, on Sky Cinema Family.

The Last Book

We conclude our roundup of the best Sky Cinema films of May with Lina Roessler's comedy-drama, The Last Book. The film stars Michael Caine and Aubrey Plaza, along with Scott Speedman, Ellen Wong, Cary Elwes. The Last Book was released in 2021 and will be available this month, Saturday May 21, on Cinema Due.

Here we find Michael Caine as Harris Shaw, an angry retired writer, who will be forced to keep one last promotional tour of his book. Next to it Aubrey Plaza in the role of Lucy, a young woman who inherited the publishing house that made Shaw famous and who will have to deal with her eccentricities during the tour.
