Batman Arkham Collection could arrive on Nintendo Switch

Batman: Arkham Collection could be coming to Nintendo Switch, we do not yet know in what form, but with the product already registered on the price lists of the French retailer WTT, with release scheduled for August 31, 2022 but probably still a placeholder awaiting official information. .

This is clearly not verified information, but what makes us consider the matter is that WTT and its product lists revealed in advance and in a rather precise manner the arrival of The Witcher as well. 3: Wild Hunt and Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection on Nintendo Switch in unsuspecting times, which at least makes the information plausible.

Batman: Arkham Collection, a collection image At the moment, the Batman Arkham Collection has not yet been announced by Warner Bros. for Nintendo Switch, but there is a good chance that the game will arrive, somehow. Released in 2018 on PS4, Xbox One and PC, this is a compilation of the original Rocksteady trilogy featuring Batman: Arkham Asylum, Batman: Arkham City and Batman: Arkham Knight and their respective DLCs included.

Technically, seen the previous ones, a transposition of the titles in question on Nintendo Switch should not be impossible, which does not make us exclude a priori the possibility that the product really exists. On the other hand, a launch this year could exploit the driving force behind the theatrical release of the new movie The Batman with Robert Pattinson.

    #29 Sifu

  • Developer: Sloclap
  • Publisher: Sloclap
  • Platform: PC, PS4, PS5
  • Release: February 8, 2022
  • A beat ‘em up title that we’re excited about this year is Sifu. The video game puts players into a martial artist who finds his entire family was murdered by five assassins. Players will have to seek out and seek revenge from these assassins, but there’s a slight catch. Each time players die, they have a talisman that will allow them to revive. However, each time they are revived, they age several years. This will continue until your eventual death. In which case, you’ll have to restart and attempt another run.

    #28 Monster Hunter Rise

  • Developer: Capcom
  • Publisher: Capcom
  • Platform: NS, PC
  • Release: January 12, 2022 PC
  • Monster Hunter Rise is a game we already had available on the Nintendo Switch last year, 2021. However, the game is receiving a port for the PC platform this year. The video game is quite a bit like the franchise’s previous installments. Players will venture around the map in search of different monsters to take down. Each monster will deliver resources to use for crafting other valuable gear and weapons to use for your next hunt. Also, as the name suggests, there is more focus on vertical play in this game. Players will be able to reach new heights in this particular installment thanks to a grappling hook system. Fortunately, the game was a hit on the Nintendo Switch, and we’re expecting another thrilling experience for the PC platform.

    #27 Stray

  • Developer: BlueTwelve Studio
  • Publisher: Annapurna Interactive
  • Platform: PC, PS4, PS5
  • Release: 2022
  • Stray is a bit of an oddball premise that you might find unique. The overall world is set in the distant future, where landscapes are filled with bright neon colors and droids everywhere. You’re playing the role of a stray cat that’s trying to unravel some mysteries behind the world. We haven’t seen a ton of this game at the moment, but it looks like we’ll get our hands on this game at some point within this year, 2022.

    #26 Skull & Bones

  • Developer: Ubisoft
  • Publisher: Ubisoft
  • Platform: PC, PS4, XBO
  • Release: TBA
  • Skull & Bones is a game we’ve been waiting for a good while now from Ubisoft. The developers teased this game several years ago, but the title has been a bit of a development hell phase since then. Initially, the game was supposed to have players take the role of a pirate and take your ship in search of loot. In addition, there were said to be other pirate legions along with governing law ships out in the open, which may or may not align with your goals. However, since Ubisoft has been a bit dormant, we’re left waiting to see if this game happens to get an update out today or is potentially available in the marketplace this year.

    #25 Forspoken

  • Developer: Luminous Productions
  • Publisher: Square Enix
  • Platform: PC, PS5
  • Release: May 24, 2022
  • Forspoken is an upcoming title that puts players into the role of a young woman named Frey. One day Frey is transported into a new but incredibly hostile world. With the help of your sentient bracelet, players are forced into traveling around the open world in hopes of finding a way back to New York. So far, this game looks incredibly fluid, and it should make for some fast-paced battles. Currently, the game is slated to release this May, so we should start seeing more marketing materials like new gameplay footage arrive online in the coming months.

    #24 Evil West

  • Developer: Flying Wild Hog
  • Publisher: Focus Entertainment
  • Platform: PC, PS4, PS5, XBO, X/S
  • Release: 2022
  • Evil West is a pretty interesting storyline. The game is set in a parallel historical setting of the old west. However, this action RPG is centered around a vampire invasion, and you’re one of the last secret agents trained to handle situations like this. You’ll have to use your skills and high-tech weaponry to fight off a foe that humanity is unprepared for. The game looks rather thrilling, and we’re supposed to see this game hit the marketplace at some point this year. However, at the time of writing this game description, we don’t have a specific release date for Evil West quite yet.

    #23 Sniper Elite 5

  • Developer: Rebellion
  • Publisher: Rebellion
  • Platform: PC, PS4, PS5, XBO, X/S
  • Release: 2022
  • The Sniper Elite franchise has been around for quite a long time, and a new installment is coming this year. Sniper Elite 5 will follow the gameplay mechanics and settings that you’re used to with this franchise. You’re battling against Nazis with more focus on taking them out through a high-powered rifle. It’s a very tactical-focused game with a campaign to throw you in different environment locations. These games have always been a solid hit with fans, and we’re curious to see what changes have been made or tweaked from the previous entry, Sniper Elite 4, which initially launched back in 2017.

    #22 Horizon Forbidden West

  • Developer: Guerrilla Games
  • Publisher: Sony Interactive Entertainment
  • Platform: PS4, PS5
  • Release: February 18, 2022
  • The PlayStation 4 was filled with exclusive games, but one of the new breakout IPs came from Guerrilla Games. After coming off the Killzone franchise, Horizon Zero Dawn was a unique third-person RPG for this studio. The game was set in the distant future, where humanity has fallen. Those left alive resorted to small tribes with no real information about what life was like when humans were the apex predator. Now massive mechanical beasts roam the world. Players stepped into a young woman named Aloy, who was banished from the tribe as a baby. Taken in and raised by a man who was also banished, Aloy sets off on a journey to discover who she is and why the tribe would banish an innocent baby. Now fans can start preparing for the next thrilling installment, Horizon Forbidden West. Players are still stepping into the role of Aloy, but a new problem has emerged for this warrior. A plague has emerged that’s killing everything it touches. It’s up to players to discover the source of this plague. While Aloy is skilled and quickly maneuvering around the world, this journey will take her to unfamiliar places with new mechanical beasts and hostile tribes.

    #21 Crimson Desert

  • Developer: Pearl Abyss
  • Publisher: Pearl Abyss
  • Platform: PC, PS4, PS5, XBO, X/S
  • Release: NA
  • Crimson Desert was a planned prequel to Black Desert Online, a very popular MMORPG that came out a few years prior. Now, the game is its own standalone title that focuses on mercenaries trying to live in a harsh world filled with different enemies and characters roaming the area. We’re still waiting on more information to come out, such as a release date. But we can likely expect the same style of gameplay mechanics from Black Desert Online, which was centered more on action RPG and fluid combat. Likewise, this should have a lively world filled with different environments, NPCs to meet, and creatures to battle against. Hopefully, 2022 sees not only some new marketing material but also the game launch as well.

    #20 Sonic Frontiers

  • Developer: Sonic Team
  • Publisher: Sega
  • Platform: PC, PS4, PS5, XBO, X/S, NS
  • Release: 2022
  • During The Game Awards 2021, we got the big unveiling of the next Sonic the Hedgehog game. We saw rumors about this game leading up to the reveal, but there’s confirmation now. Unfortunately, we don’t have a ton of information about the game at the moment. This was a game that Sega was hoping to get out into the marketplace in 2021 to meet the 30th anniversary of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. So far, this looks to be an open-world Sonic title that looks a bit like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Sonic Frontiers is slated to release during this year, so new information will likely come out over the next several months as we approach its release date.

    #19 ARC Raiders

  • Developer: Embark Studios
  • Publisher: Embark Studios
  • Platform: PC
  • Release: 2022
  • ARC Raiders is an upcoming third-person free-to-play shooter. This game is set in an alternate future where a mechanical force puts humanity under constant attack. In this game, players will be working together to fight off these onslaughts of attacks. From what it seems so far, this game is centered around a resistance group fending off the attacks and scavenging items to help further progress.

    #18 Gotham Knights

  • Developer: WB Games Montreal
  • Publisher: Warner Bros. Interactive
  • Platform: PC, PS4, PS5, XBO, X/S
  • Release: 2022
  • It’s been a minute now since we’ve received a Batman video game, and rather than continuing on with another game based around the Dark Knight, we’re getting a unique action RPG on his friends. Gotham Knights is an upcoming title that tells a storyline in which Batman has perished. We don’t know how or why, but Bruce Wayne has lost the fight. Bruce has sent out one last message rather than leaving Gotham City to be devoured by the criminal overlords that would soon pounce at territory. His closest friends were given the alert of his death as he pleas for them to keep Gotham City safe from the evildoers that would deem harm and chaos to its citizens. As a result, players in this game will be able to take the role of Batman’s allies in a brand new storyline. In the mix are Nightwing, Batgirl, Robin, and Red Hood.

    #17 Pokémon Legends: Arceus

  • Developer: Game Freak
  • Publisher: Nintendo, The Pokemon Company
  • Platform: NS
  • Release: January 28, 2022
  • A new Pokemon game is coming to the marketplace this year. This will be a brand new installment released exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. There is a difference with this particular installment as it will take place years before the other games. We’re going to be focusing on the Hisui region, which is later known as the Sinnoh region. You’ll also find that there are seamless battle transitions now, so you’re able to jump right into a fight with a random Pokemon you’ll see in the open rather than having random encounters. Additionally, the speed mechanic is a bit different. If you recall previous installments to the franchise, you might remember that speed ultimately determined if you or your opponent attacked first. If you have enough speed, you can trigger two commands during one turn. This could be two attack moves or attack once and then use an item. That alone should change up the strategy for your upcoming battles quite a bit.

#16 Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

  • Developer: Traveller’s Tales
  • Publisher: Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment
  • Platform: PC, PS4, PS5, XBO, X/S, NS
  • Release: 2022
  • The Lego games are always a blast to play at any age. These are lighthearted games, with simple mechanics and storylines that are often more parodies of the source material. We’ve seen several Lego games in the past that covered the Star Wars franchise. However, we have another Star Wars Lego game release that you’ll want to make a note of. Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is a game that will hit different events from the nine Skywalker saga episodes. Fortunately, players can jump right into any of the episodes to start the game, or they can make a more linear run. Each episode is said to have six levels, and you’ll find that there are three hundred playable characters. Developers also tweaked the gameplay mechanics a bit. For instance, you’ll have more combo attacks if you’re using a lightsaber, while there are also blasters and Force moves to make use of.

    #15 Little Devil Inside

  • Developer: Neostream Interactive
  • Publisher: Neostream Interactive
  • Platform: PC, NS, PS4, PS5, XBO
  • Release: 2022
  • Little Devil Inside is a game that we have been waiting on for a good little bit now, as it was first showcased through a Kickstarter campaign back in 2015. However, we are now expecting the game this year, which should be a real treat for fans that have waited since it was first unveiled to the public. Overall, this is an action-adventure game where we are tossed in an unusual 19th-century world. Players are stepping into the role of a swordsman who is sent out to find all paranormal and supernatural elements scattered throughout the world. We know that there is a focus on exploration, combat, and survival elements in this game. Visually, the game looks like a thrilling cartoon, and the combat is a bit of a hack and slash. For some, this might be a game to easily sink some hours into after a long day of work or school.

    #14 Splatoon 3

  • Developer: Nintendo
  • Publisher: Nintendo
  • Platform: NS
  • Release: 2022
  • Splatoon was a new IP from Nintendo that took on and was released for the Nintendo Wii U. That soon followed up with a sequel for the Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo is not stopping there. A third installment has been confirmed. This is still a third-person shooter where players are taking the role of squid-like critters as they battle for turf across the map. Essentially players are laying down their color ink around the area while fighting off opposing teams from invading. The previous two installments have done well, and we’re eager to see the new maps and features that Splatoon 3 offers. We know that there is a solo story campaign to go through and chances are there are new weapons likely making a debut. Unfortunately, we don’t have a specific release date quite yet on the game, but players can expect Splatoon 3 to arrive sometime this year, 2022.

    #13 Dead Space Remake

  • Developer: Motive Studios
  • Publisher: EA
  • Platform: PC, PS5, X/S
  • Release: 2022
  • Dead Space has a strong following, and over the years, we had three mainline installments before EA killed off the IP. Since 2013, fans have been waiting on the next game or a revival. Fortunately, we finally got the reboot announcement for the franchise. Motive Studios is taking on the reboot for Dead Space to deliver another terrifying survival horror experience. Overall, the game reboot is said to be following the original installment rather closely. Still, we also know that the studio has three total video game releases it can look at in order to remake the original installment. So we could see some mechanics or features from all three games appear in this remake. For those who might be unfamiliar with the IP, the game is set in the distant future. Players are taking the role of an engineer who is venturing to a craft for repairs. However, you’ll soon find that an alien parasite has infected the crew leaving you in a fight for survival.

    #12 Bayonetta 3

  • Developer: PlatinumGames
  • Publisher: Nintendo
  • Platform: NS
  • Release: 2022
  • Bayonetta fans have been eagerly awaiting the launch of the next installment. The developers are hard at work in delivering Bayonetta 3, but the game should hopefully get out into the marketplace this year. We are certainly wondering just how the narrative will be picking up after Bayonetta 2. The development team over at PlatinumGames knows how to deliver a fast-paced and fluid hack and slash experience. Their previous installments were full of thrilling and action-packed gameplay and have grown a massive fan base. Chances are if you played the previous installments, you’re already keeping tabs on Bayonetta 3. Likewise, the previous titles are available on the Nintendo Switch if you haven’t already played. You’ll likely want to go back and play through the first two installments before jumping into this third title release.

    #11 A Plague Tale: Requiem

  • Developer: Asobo Studio
  • Publisher: Focus Home Interactive
  • Platform: PC, NS, PS5, X/S
  • Release: 2022
  • A Plague Tale: Innocence might have been a surprise release for some as it quickly gained quite a bit of attention when it launched in 2019. However, this year we’re getting a sequel installment. So if you enjoyed the first game, you’d want to check out A Plague Tale: Requiem. This installment will once again follow Amicia and Hugo as they attempt to find a new home. However, they soon realize that they’ll never find peace unless they can lift the curse from Hugo. To stop the flood of rats from following, the duo learns of an island that may finally hold the cure for Hugo. However, just as before this will be a deadly journey where players will need to tap into their powers of sending deadly rats out or sneaking around the area to avoid being detected.

    #10 Saints Row

  • Developer: Volition
  • Publisher: Deep Silver
  • Platform: PC, PS4, PS5, XBO, X/S
  • Release: August 23, 2022
  • Saints Row has a very strong following, but it has become a bit dormant as of late. That changed when Volition unveiled a reboot of sorts with Saints Row. This game will toss players into the American southwest in a fictional city called Santo Illeso. Crime factions are established, but you’re looking to make a name for yourself. In this game, you’re looking to seize some of that power and make your gang the top dog in the area. So far, the reception from this title has been a bit iffy. Some are interested in seeing how the game holds up compared to its previous over-the-top iterations. Meanwhile, others have felt that this IP has lost its way. Right now, we’ll have to wait and see just how this game handles and where it ranks among the previous installments when it is put out into the marketplace later this August.

    #9 Evil Dead: The Game

  • Developer: Saber Interactive
  • Publisher: Boss Team Games
  • Platform: PC, NS, PS4, PS5, XBO
  • Release: February 2022
  • Evil Dead will soon have a game out for fans to enjoy. Evil Dead: The Game is a bit like other titles you might be familiar with, such as Dead by Daylight. Essentially, a group of survivors takes on different iconic character roles. Meanwhile, a hostile player is stepping into the role of a demonic creature. Overall, the game is centered around a portal opening up in our realm allowing monsters to invade. It’s up to players to work together to fight off the different monsters that pop up and complete the necessary objectives to close the portal. This looks like it would be a thrilling party game to play with friends online, and fortunately, we don’t have too much longer to wait before we can try the game out for ourselves. At the moment, the game is slated to launch in February 2022.

    #8 Hogwarts Legacy

  • Developer: Avalanche Software
  • Publisher: Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment
  • Platform: PC, PS4, PS5, XBO, X/S
  • Release: 2022
  • Harry Potter fans will have a new game to get into this year. Set well before Harry Potter novels and movies, Hogwarts Legacy puts players into the late 1800s. Here players are taking the role of a late accepted student to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Unfortunately, we didn’t see this game pop up very much in 2021, so we’re hopeful new information comes out this year along with the game’s release. From what we know, this seems to be an open-world game where players can freely explore the school and its surrounding areas. Likewise, there appears to be a play choices and consequences, so it could mean that players can either go down a more positive pathway or find themselves leaning more towards the sinister dark arts.

    #7 The Day Before

  • Developer: FNTASTIC
  • Publisher: MYTONA
  • Platform: PC, PS5, X/S
  • Release: June 21, 2022
  • The Day Before is a game that quickly gained quite a bit of attention. This is a game set after a massive pandemic that turned most of humanity into mindless zombies. We understand that this game is online, and it’s all about survival. You’ll venture around to different towns, homes, and markets to find resources. Meanwhile, you have the undead threat roaming the area to take care of if they prove too troublesome. However, like some other notable online survival games, you’ll also have different groups of players roaming the area for goods. Some may prove to be friendly and are willing to join up to cover more ground. Although, there very well could be some players who will take out the competition and prey on their items.

#6 The Lord of the Rings: Gollum

  • Developer: Daedalic Entertainment
  • Publisher: Daedalic Entertainment
  • Platform: PC, NS, PS4, PS5, XBO, X/S
  • Release: 2022
  • If you felt a shortage of The Lord of the Rings games lately, then 2022 might suffice. There is an upcoming title that you might find some interest in. The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, the title alone should tell you what this game is about. Players will be going through the narrative as Gollum, using his wit and stealth to get through various goals and hostile environment locations. This game is also being developed by Daedalic Entertainment who is known for various puzzle and narrative-driven adventure games. You can think back to titles like State of Mind and Ken Follett’s The Pillars of the Earth. Originally, the game was slated to hit the marketplace in 2021, but had been delayed into 2022.

    #5 Starfield

    Starfield

  • Developer: Bethesda Game Studios
  • Publisher: Bethesda Softworks
  • Platform: PC, X/S
  • Release: November 11, 2022
  • Bethesda is known for delivering some thrilling RPGs. Primarily players are familiar with Bethesda from Fallout and The Elder Scrolls. However, their next game release is Starfield. This is a brand new IP that should be quite thrilling. Like some of their past games, players can either go through the game in a first-person or third-person mode. However, the game is set in the distant future where humanity has colonized space. We’re taking the role of a space explorer, and so far, the concept images showcased have players venturing into some drastically different environments. You can think of The Outer Worlds as to what this game might be like. We’re still waiting on gameplay footage at this point, but regardless there are quite a few fans already eager to see what quests and journeys are waiting for players to stumble upon.

#4 Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League

  • Developer: Rocksteady Studios
  • Publisher: Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment
  • Platform: PC, PS5, X/S
  • Release: 2022
  • Rocksteady Studios delivered some truly incredible Batman games with their Arkham run. When they finally ended the series and went silent, fans couldn’t wait to see what they would deliver next. There were plenty of anticipated IPs that players were hopeful that the studio would tap into next. Finally, we got the unveiling of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League in 2020. Players would be going through another action-adventure journey in the DC Universe but not as Batman. Instead, players would be following an oddball team that consists of Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, Harley Quinn, and King Shark. If you’re unfamiliar with the Suicide Squad, this is a forced tactical team that is sent in when things prove to be too deadly. Armed with a bomb in their skull, our heroes, who were at one time villains, are sent out to save the day. It looks like the first big journey will be following this group on will be centered around the Justice League, who were brainwashed into doing Brainiac’s commands.

    #3 God of War Ragnarok

  • Developer: Santa Monica Studio
  • Publisher: Sony Interactive Entertainment
  • Platform: PS4, PS5
  • Release: 2022
  • God of War fans was pleasantly surprised when a soft reboot of sorts came out for the PlayStation 4. This time we followed an older Kratos who found a new life and family. However, the game starts up with Kratos’ wife passing away and the Norse mythological gods discovering Kratos’ true identity. Overall, the game was centered around Kratos fighting off these newfound enemies and raising his son. It looks like the developers want to end the Norse mythology storyline a bit quicker, so instead of a trilogy, the sequel will be tossing us into Ragnarok. The fabled storyline based around the end of the world is coming in this installment, and we can’t wait to jump right back into the role of our favorite god-killing protagonist. We haven’t seen too much of this game now, but it should be arriving exclusively on PlayStation consoles this year. With that said, the initial 2018 release for God of War will also hit the PC platform this year. So it could mean that a release for God of War Ragnarok may also hit the PC platform in the coming years.

#2 The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2

  • Developer: Nintendo
  • Publisher: Nintendo
  • Platform: NS
  • Release: 2022
  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was a rather drastic new take for the franchise. Players were given a large open world to explore. Like the past installments, the game was centered around Link saving the day from the evil Ganon. However, there was a large world to explore this time, characters to meet, quests to take on, and loot to uncover. It was quickly a must-have game for Nintendo’s Wii U and the Switch. However, it looks like we’re not entirely done with this series just yet. Nintendo has unveiled another installment coming out for Breath of the Wild. We don’t know much about the sequel other than the developers working on it. Still, it should be interesting to see where the narrative takes us and how the map has changed since our last adventure.

    #1 Elden Ring

  • Developer: FromSoftware
  • Publisher: Bandai Namco Entertainment
  • Platform: PC, PS4, PS5, XBO, X/S
  • Release: February 25, 2022
  • FromSoftware is a massive video game development studio, and you’re likely familiar with them from the Souls series. These folks have delivered quite a few thrilling and popular games over the years. However, in 2022 we’re set to receive their largest game yet, Elden Ring. This new project has players once again in a fantasy world that was helped crafted together with George R.R. Martin. If you’re unfamiliar with the name, he was the author behind the Game of Thrones novels. Players can expect a challenging combat experience but with some slight new twists. This is an open world with player choice in where they venture to and how they complete their objectives. Stealth can be just as important as brute force attacks, and it looks like there will be quite a few areas to explore with various entrances to uncover. We don’t likely have to tell you much more because it’s hard to find someone who is not already eagerly awaiting to get their hands on this game.

    Bonus

Bonus Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection

  • Developer: Iron Galaxy, Naughty Dog
  • Publisher: Sony Interactive Entertainment
  • Platform: PC, PS5
  • Release: 2022
  • This is by means not a new game. Sony has offered a handful of their games to release onto the PC platform. Finally, PC players will get to experience two installments of the Uncharted franchise. The game collection includes Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and the spin-off standalone release, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. Interestingly enough, the collection doesn’t include the first installments, so it might be a miss for those who never got experience Uncharted games in the past. Regardless, these are thrilling action-adventure games, and you’ll get the final two chapters available right now.
