Four Against The Great Old Ones

Four Against The Great Old Ones, published by MS Edizioni, is a procedural roll & write game for one or more players that is difficult to fit into a specific type of game, being a sort of hybrid between librogame, board game and role-playing game. br>
Set in the 1930s, Four Against The Great Old Ones is a horror game inspired by Howard Phillips Lovecraft's Myths of Cthulhu contained in an easily searchable booklet. In Four Against The Great Old Ones, players will play as four intrepid investigators and engage in a fight against time to stop a blasphemous ritual that would bring one of the terrible Great Old Ones into our reality.

Four Against The Great Old Ones, the setting

Four Against The Great Old Ones is based on the more than classic and well-established Lovecraftian setting par excellence: the American Thirties, in full prohibition, between gangsters and crazy unmentionable cults. And one of these crazy cults will be the engine that will bring the game to life. The four protagonists investigators, controlled by the players, have in fact become aware that a group of completely devoid of senses cultists are trying to carry out a ritual that will allow an Ancient One, one of the most fearsome and insane entities from beyond space and time, to breach our reality and annihilate humanity and the whole world.

Our intrepid heroes will therefore have only forty days to investigate various locations, collect clues, find out where the ritual will take place and which Ancient One will be summoned. Obviously at that point they will have to do everything to prevent the ritual from being successful. All while surviving and keeping your sanity steadfast.
