Apex Legends Hunted, Vantage ready to hunt in season 14

Apex Legends Hunted

The new season of Apex Legends is upon us and as usual, a few days before the debut, EA and Respawn Entertainment have unveiled what will be the news of season 14, codenamed Hunted, which will debut on August 9th. Among the news we have Vantage, a new legend that will join the now rich roster of the game, changes to King's Canyon, weapons and even the level cap: let's see what all the changes are.

Apex Legends has his first sniper

Let's start with the new character, Xiorama “Mara” Contreras, known as Vantage within the Apex Games. Raised as a hunter by her mother, Vantage has joined in her games to try to free her from her captivity, deemed unfair by her daughter. Vantage's companions are an old sniper rifle found in the prison ship carrying her mother (ship from which the legend has "inherited" her name) and Echo, a small bat; these two elements are fundamental, as they outline the characteristics and abilities of Vantage within Apex Legends.

Echo's Flight tactical ability allows her to move her companion and reposition quickly, in order to have a good angle of fire on enemies or to take cover from an ambush. The strength of the skill is the fact that Echo cannot be knocked down, giving Vantage the ability to reposition itself at any time. Supreme ability of the new legend is finally Mark of the Sniper: Vantage fires with his sniper (has 5 shots, which recharge over time) and marks the enemies hit, making them visible (as long as they are in open field) and increasing the damage inflicted by the companions .

The new face of King's Canyon

King's Canyon, or "Third-Party Land" as it is called by many players due to its small size, also sees several changes. The most interesting is the introduction of Relic, a new point of interest in the area previously occupied by Skull Town and destroyed some time ago, followed by the redesign of Cage, which now has a completely open structure without cover which makes it less dominant. , exposing the teams on all sides.

The other changes see the addition of buildings in the Fallen Shore, a rebalancing of the loot in all places on the map and an attempt to make the rotations in the central phases more predictable of matches, eliminating several shortcuts that favored escape from skirmishes. We'll see if this will help give variety to the game.

A breath of fresh air to gameplay

The gameplay news does not only concern the weapons, but also the golden equipment. One of the most important news is the farewell to self-revive, so far present on the auxiliary shield, replaced with the Guardian Angel ability in turn so far present in the backpack: starting from season 14, the legendary auxiliary shield will allow you to revive your companions with life and bonus shields, while the legendary backpack will allow you to carry an extra unit of large heals, for a total of 3 for slots for batteries and medkits and 2 for phoenix kits.

Major weapon-related changes include changes for Wingman and Spitfire, which will use sniper and light, rather than heavy, accessories and ammunition respectively. From the drop will come out G7 Scout and Volt, which can be found on the ground, to make room for Bocek and Rampage, which will go alongside the Kraber. Among the short-range options we will see a return of the double-tap for the EVA 8 and the introduction of a new accessory for pistols and SMGs, the laser sight, which will help to greatly reduce the spread of the shots when firing without aiming.
