The RTX 3090 Ti

The Chinese portal IT Home (as reported by HXL) has published a photograph of the alleged GeForce RTX 3090 Ti, more specifically of the custom model ASUS GeForce RTX 3090 Ti TUF Gaming. Recall that, over the last few weeks, there have been various rumors that NVIDIA could launch the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti at CES 2022.

As expected from the name, the graphics card will become the new flagship of the Ampere line. The latest leaked photograph lends credence to rumors of its upcoming launch. Well-known leaker @ kopite7kimi shared potential specs for the GeForce RTX 3090 Super last September, but wasn't sure at the time what the final name would be. It appears that NVIDIA has opted for "GeForce RTX 3090 Ti", which means that every RTX 30 series GPU now has a "Ti" variant.

Photo Credit: NVIDIA Logically, the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti will take advantage of the GA102 GPU, which is the company's largest consumer die amp (that is, without considering the GA100 for data centers, which among other things does not have ray tracing hardware). The GeForce RTX 3090 has 82 Streaming Multiprocessors (SMs) enabled on the GA102's potential 84, while the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti will likely take advantage of all 84 SMs. This means it should have 10,752 CUDA cores, 336 Tensor cores and 84 RT cores available.

The GeForce RTX 3090 Ti may be the first graphics card to use Micron's fast 21Gb / s GDDR6X memory. The product will likely retain the 24GB configuration and 384-bit memory interface of the GeForce RTX 3090. However, the faster memory will give the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti a slight advantage over the GeForce RTX 3090 (19.5 Gbps) as far as it's about bandwidth. While the GeForce RTX 3090 goes up to 936.2GB / s, the Ti variant will offer up to 1,018GB / s, a 9% increase.

Photo Credit: IThome Along with memory and GPU upgrades, the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti will also have an even higher TDP. While the non-Ti variant is rated for 350W, the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti could sport a TDP of 450W. This would represent a 29% increase, probably for about 5-10% more performance in real-world use cases. Should NVIDIA decide to launch a Founders Edition, we can expect to see the 12-pin PCIe power connector. Of course, there will be extensive custom options, such as the ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3090 Ti from the leaked photograph. Unfortunately, given the current shortage of graphics cards, it will be quite difficult to have good availability on the shelves in stores.

According to the latest rumors, NVIDIA is preparing to unveil the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti on January 4th. although the actual launch will not take place until the 27th of the same month.

Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 Ti Packaging Image Leaked Online, May Confirm Other Rumoured Specs

The GeForce RTX 3090 is one of the fastest graphics processors manufactured by the company Nvidia. Ever since the release of the processor, leaks about the upcoming Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 Ti have been doing the internet for months now, revealing the specifications and price of the device. Most recently, the image of Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 Ti's packaging has emerged online, increasing the hype around the graphics card.

The image of Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 Ti's packaging has been uploaded by a publication called ITHome. As per the image, the model of Nvidia graphics processor has been manufactured by ASUS and contains the branding of TUF gaming series. Since the image on the packaging represents the actual product, a lot of information can be inferred from it. The branding on the bottom right corner of the package clearly shows that the box belongs to Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 Ti.

As it is visible in the image, the cooler on the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 Ti seems thicker than it is on the previous model. It might also confirm the existence of a more powerful TDP, possibly of 450W, which is 100W more than what is found on the current model. The number '4' written on the box at the bottom left corner suggests that the graphics card will come with a 24GB configuration. However, the PCle 4.0 seen on the packaging also indicates that the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 Ti will not come with PCle Gen 5.0.

According to rumours, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 Ti will feature GA102 GPU with 10,752 CUDA cores. It is also said to have a new memory layout, along with a refreshed design and a new power connector. Nvidia is most likely to reveal the latest graphics card at CES 2022, where it is also said to launch the RTX 3050 and RTX 3070 Ti. Considering the global chip shortage and other parameters of global shipment, the availability of the new graphic processor unit will be something to keep a close eye on. Stay tuned for more information on the
