In addition to the game graphics, the heavily dusty cutscenes, which were astonishing 21 years ago, but have now accumulated a lot of dust, are also being completely redone. Instead of simply sharpening and upscaling the old videos, Blizzard decided to re-render the video frame by frame every 27 minutes. At the same time, the editing, sound effects, voice output and everything else that made the short films stand out should be retained - the innovations primarily concern the optics, the sound is simply remixed. What exactly that looks like, Blizzard recently indicated during E3 with a new trailer in which a few short excerpts from the cutscenes could be seen. How do the new videos compare to the originals? When Diablo 2: Resurrected is released on September 23rd, we will of course test the game extensively, including the cutscenes again Subject to comparison - then with better picture examples. The new videos may also be included in the open beta, which awaits us in August and will include five of the seven playable classes. Diablo 2: Resurrected will cost around 40 euros when it is released. By the way, pre-orderers will get earlier access to the open beta, which will concentrate on the multiplayer in contrast to the alpha.
