The new Panini DC Italia products announced at Comicon 2022

The Comicon 2022 in Naples has already started a few days ago and, during the first live conference since it became the official Italian publisher of DC Comics, Panini announced the latest official news that we will see in the coming months and here they are.

Batman

Batman # 50

In June, the first two years of Panini publications will coincide with number 50 of the fortnightly Batman, which will have a variant cover currently top secret.

Shadows of the Bat

In August, on Batman issue 54, the maxi-saga Shadows of the Bat, by Mariko Tamaki and Ivan Reis, will start. The event will involve the whole Bat-Family.

Shadow War

The Italian magazine dedicated to the Best in the World is temporarily orphaned by the American series (which will soon be back with a new incarnation and a new creative team), waiting for the new stories Panini will present the maxi-series Dark on these pages Knights of Steel, by Tom Taylor and Yasmine Putri. A high-fantasy series set in a parallel universe, much more akin to Game of Thrones than superheroes! In August.

Flashpoint Beyond

The Thomas Wayne of the Flashpoint world will be the protagonist of a miniseries in stapled format due out in October.

Batman Vs. Bigby

The Wolf of Fairytale and the Bat of Gotham meet in the Willingham mini that relaunches Fables. Coming in September.

Batman 89

The comic series that incorporates the legendary films of Tim Burton arrives in Italy in November.

Batman: The Knight

The new origins of the Dark Knight by Chip Zdarsky and Carmine Di Giandomenico will be presented in two volumes starting in October.

The Joker: A Puzzlebox



Matthew Rosenberg, Jesus Merino and Ulisses Arreola transport us to a metropolitan noir where Joker is not the culprit ... but a key witness !

Catwoman: Lonely City

The new maxi-series by Cliff Chiang dedicated to Gotham's Thief Cat and set in a world without Batman. Hardbound DC Black Label, coming in October.

Batman: Beyond the Dark Knight

The alternate universe of the White Knight created by Sean Murphy is enriched with an unreleased third chapter dedicated to the Batman of the future! DC Black Label hardcover, December 2022.

Batman: The Sect and Batman: Legacy


The DC Library series is enriched with two stories that marked an era for the Dark Knight. The first is Batman: The Sect, by Jim Starlin and Bernie Wrightson, the inspiration for the third film in the Christopher Nolan saga dedicated to Batman, coming in September. The second volume is Batman: Legacy, a crossover involving the whole Bat-Family released in the 90s with a truly first-rate creative team: Chuck Dixon, Dough Moench and Alan Grant. It is the direct sequel to Contagio and will be released in multiple volumes starting in November.

Tales of the Batman

In August a hardcover volume will arrive with the legendary stories of the 70s written by Steve Englehart and illustrated by Marshall Rogers.

Batman: The Doom that Came to Gotham

Elseworlds signed by Mike Mignola (to the lyrics and to the covers) and drawn by Richard Pace and Troy Nixey. Coming September 2022.

James Tynion IV's Batman

As soon as Tom King's Batman is finished, a reprint of the Tynion IV cycle will arrive. Hardcover, October 2022.

DC Universe

Justice League Incarnate

A series that lays its foundations in Grant Morrison's Multiversity and will explore the DC Omniverse. Written by Joshua Williamson and drawn by a rotating artistic cast, it is the series that follows Infinite Frontier and that puts a fundamental piece of what will happen in the future. From June on DC Crossover # 18.

Justice League vs. The Legion of Super-Heroes




The Process of the Amazons

All the cast of characters that revolve around Diana, united in the first crossover event dedicated to Wonder Woman in 15 years to this part. Written and designed by the entire creative Wonder-Team (Becky Cloonan, Michael Conrad, Joelle Jones, Elena Casagrande, Laura Braga, Skylar Patridge, Alitha Martinez, Rosi Kampe and Paulina Ganucheau). From Wonder Woman # 33 in November, up to number 36 out in February 2023.

Superman & Nightwing



Tom Taylor brings together the two characters he's writing : Jon Kent (Earth's new Superman) and Dick Grayson (Nightwing) in a two-issue minicrossover that will be presented in its entirety in Superman # 43, due out in December 2022.

Challengers of the Unknown

A 1991 story that marks the debut of the acclaimed couple Loeb & Sale, who have given us so many memorable stories over the years. A reinvention of an ancient group, for modern times. Hardback, out in August 2022.

Green Arrow by Mike Grell

In 1987, Mike Grell made a three-issue mini-series dedicated to Freccia Verde, in which he completely redefined the concept of hero, transforming him from "super" to urban hero. The reprint of those mythical stories arrives in September 2022 in a hardback volume.

Human Target



The stories written by Peter Milligan in 1999 in a nice hardback volume arriving in November 2022.

Kid Eternity

A great classic of the Vertigo of the 90s by Grant Morrison is back in the comic store and librerira. DC Deluxe, oversized hardcover, September 2022.

Marshal Law

Another repechage from the 90s: ten years after the last Italian edition, the irreverent comic book made by Pat Mills and Kevin O'Neill. Coming October 2022.

Promethea

One of Alan Moore's masterpieces, here paired with J.H. Williams III, will be re-released in an oversized three-volume format with slipcase. Coming December 2022.

Sandman Mystery Theater

The Sandman spin-off series returns in eight volumes packed in a box set (but they'll also be sold separately, don't worry). Coming October 2022.
