HiSense LaserTV 88 ”4K (L5GV)

“Laser TV” is the name HiSense has given its line of ultra-short throw projectors. Despite this denomination, laser technology is actually present, but we believe that the definition of TV can be misleading.

It is also true that the term "video projector", in the common imagination, brings to mind the need to position a product far from the projection surface, while the HiSense “Laser TVs” have a usage model quite close to that of a normal TV. We tried the 88 ″ model, let's see how our test went and who should buy the HiSense Laser TV.

How is the HiSense Laser TV made?

The HiSense Laser TV, or if you prefer the HiSense short-throw projector, can be positioned no differently than a normal TV, as the projected image requires a minimum distance from the projection surface of only (minimum) 20 cm. Of course, the "horizontal" footprint of the projector is greater than that of a TV, but by not requiring a physical panel you can save in height, although it is important to remember that all the area that will be used to project the image must remain free and without obstacles in the close vicinity, under penalty of a shadow that will obscure part of the projection. In short, in some situations the use of an ultra-short throw projector will be more convenient than installing a TV, considering the projected image of 88 ", which can reach and exceed 100" on the larger versions.
