The Wear OS 3 for everyone is shown in a version not customized by Samsung

The arrival of Wear OS 3 on non-Samsung devices is expected for next summer, exactly one year after the release for the South Korean home's smartwatches. Until now, the only way to personally experience the latest version of Google's software is to purchase a Samsung Galaxy Watch4; alternatively, however, it is always possible to rely on the photos and videos published by the developers, for example on those spread on Twitter by XDA Developers member Mishaal Rahman.

In the images in question, the operating system shows itself as it really is, that is, without the UI changes made by Samsung. If you have a Fossil or Ticwatch smartwatch and can't wait to discover Wear OS 3, then make yourself comfortable: below you will find a review of the main graphic and functional innovations of the new version of the operating system, in many cases accompanied by screenshots by Mishaal Rahman (find the complete series of tweets below).

Let's start with the new aesthetic. First, Rahman points out that enabled switches now feature a new gradient background, which is very useful for making active options in the settings menu stand out. Even the list of recent apps is recolored, while a small pill-shaped button corresponding to the Edit command is added to the screen accessed to edit / change the watch faces.

new functions, however, from now on it will be possible to control the YouTube Music app also from your wrist (a new shortcut is active for opening the multimedia controls that perfectly matches this app). There is also the Health Services option, with basic user information such as height and weight. In addition, a "triple pressure" gesture with still unknown utility is integrated into Accessibility.

In general, none of the aforementioned changes will radically change the user experience of the smartwatch, but there is no doubt that all together they will contribute to making it a little more modern.
