The animated film, whose production has officially begun and here we talk about it, will be released in Japanese cinemas on August 6, 2021.

My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission will tell a story completely original that arises chronologically with respect to the manga within the narrative arc of the internship as Heroes at the Endeavor Agency in the winter season (Volume 26 of the manga). Kohei Horikoshi-sensei is involved in the oversight of the story and in the making of the original character design and, in the latter regard, the first original character named Rody Soul has been revealed (here to get to the details).

Below is an extended synopsis of the film:

A mysterious group called 'Humanize' fervently believes in the theory in the Quirk legacy that uniqueness handed down from generation to generation would generate an ultimate power that could lead humanity to extinction. They are convinced that Quirks are diseases and aim to cleanse the world of everyone who owns one. The group has planted the 'Ideo Trigger Bombs' in various cities around the world which force the bearer of a Quirk to explode causing mass murder. In order to save everyone, Professional Heroes around the world have asked aspiring Heroes of Yuhei High School in training to assist them and create a worldwide team of select Heroes. The goal is to stop the bombs.

Deku, Bakugo and Todoroki, who are temporarily working at the Endeavor Agency, are called to head to a distant city named 'Oseon'. However, during the operation, Deku is embroiled in a catastrophic event that mistakenly nails him as one of the most wanted criminals in the world. In the chaos, the 'Humanize' group declares that they are behind this event and that the time limit is two hours. Now it's up to the Heroes to save the world and the future in what appears to be the most dangerous crisis in the history of My Hero Academia!

Regarding the staff, Kenji Nagasaki will again direct the film at Studio Bones. Yousuke Kuroda returns as screenwriter, Yoshihiko Umakoshi as character designer and Yuki Hayashi as composer. Kohei Horikoshi, remember, will play the aforementioned role.

For those unfamiliar with here is a brief synopsis of the series:
