The third animated film of My Hero Academia, My Hero Academia: World Heroe’s Mission, will have its main villain directly drawn by the talented hands of the creator of the original manga, Kohei Horikoshi. (don't miss the latest manga volume thanks to Amazon).

The official website dedicated to the animated film, inspired by the My Hero Academia franchise to be released in cinemas in Japan from 6 August 2021, it has just revealed the official character design of the villain, his name and, in addition, the voice.

The unpublished character who will threaten the world of heroes with his criminal organization called Flect Turn and will be played by Kazuya Nakai (historical voice of Roronoa Zoro in One Piece, among others).

The villain plans terrorist attacks as a way to save humanity and this is his distorted mode of hero ideal.

My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission, release date, details and synopsis of the film

The animated film, whose production has officially begun and here we talk about it, it will be released in Japanese cinemas on August 6, 2021.

My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission will tell a completely original story that arises chronologically with respect to the manga within the narrative arc of the internship as Heroes at the Endeavor Agency in the winter season (Volume 26 of the manga). Kohei Horikoshi-sensei is involved in the supervision of the story and in the making of the original character design and, in the latter regard, the first original character named Rody Soul has been revealed (here to get to the details).



Still, the first million viewers at the cinema will be given a special volume, My Hero Academia: Volume W, in which there will be a manga chapter written and drawn by Kohei Horikoshi himself relating to the film project . Here are all the details.

An extended synopsis of the film follows:

“A mysterious group called 'Humanize' fervently believes in the theory in the Quirk legacy that uniqueness handed down from generation in generation they would generate a final power that could lead humanity to extinction. They are convinced that Quirks are diseases and aim to cleanse the world of everyone who owns one. The group has planted the 'Ideo Trigger Bombs' in various cities around the world which force the bearer of a Quirk to explode causing mass murder. In order to save everyone, Professional Heroes around the world have asked aspiring Heroes of Yuhei High School in training to assist them and create a worldwide team of select Heroes. The goal is to stop the bombs.

Deku, Bakugo and Todoroki, who are temporarily working at the Endeavor Agency, are called to head to a distant city named 'Oseon'. However, during the operation, Deku is embroiled in a catastrophic event that mistakenly nails him as one of the most wanted criminals in the world. In the chaos, the 'Humanize' group declares that they are behind this event and that the time limit is two hours. Now it's up to the Heroes to save the world and the future in what appears to be the most dangerous crisis in the history of My Hero Academia! “

Regarding the staff, Kenji Nagasaki will again direct the film at Studio Bones. Yousuke Kuroda returns as screenwriter, Yoshihiko Umakoshi as character designer and Yuki Hayashi as composer. Kohei Horikoshi, remember, will play the aforementioned role.

My Hero Academia - manga and anime



My Hero Academia is made up of four seasons all available streaming for free on the VVVVID platform. The first four seasons and the OAVs were broadcast unencrypted by Mediaset networks, obviously dubbed in Italian, between 2018 and 2021. You can recover the series on home video thanks to Dynit which created 3 blu-ray boxes for the first two seasons , also with Italian audio, My Hero Academia Season 1, My Hero Academia Season 2 - Box 1 and My Hero Academia Season 2 - Box 2.

Season 5 is currently being simulcasted on Crunchyroll. Two films are also connected to the anime series: Two Heroes and HEROES RISING, both of which were also released for Dynit. A third animated film has also been announced, details in this article.

The anime is based on the manga of the same name written and drawn by Kohei Horikoshi, which is still being published. The manga is published in Italy by Edizioni Star Comics which has published 27 volumes so far (don't miss it here on Amazon).
