One of the best-known manga works of the latest is without a doubt Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no yaiba , written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotōge . Given the great importance it has acquired since its debut, which we remind you was in 2016 in Japan, the franchise today boasts numerous proposals dedicated to collectors. In fact, many gadgets and as many collectible statues and action figures can be purchased on the market. In this regard, Bandai has recently released some action figures dedicated to Demon Slayer for the Figuarts Mini line, distributed in Italy by Cosmic Group. Let's find out all the details about it together.

Demon Slayer

Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no yaiba

Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no yaiba takes all readers, and viewers, into an epic adventure set in Japan during the Taishō period. The protagonists of the work are Tanjiro, the eldest son of a family who lost his father, and his sister Nezuko.

The story opens by recounting a tragic episode, the killing of Tanjiro's entire family. The only one to be saved was Nezuko, who however was soon discovered to be transformed into a demon. So here Tanjiro decided to travel in search of a cure that could free his sister and prevent the same terrible fate from happening to others.

Bandai's Figuarts Mini

Among its proposals, Bandai has the Figuarts Mini line in its catalog, designed for those looking for small-sized action figures with an attractive design. The line is also excellent for those looking for a quality product at an affordable price. Among the recent proposals placed on the market we find some new characters taken from the Demon Slayer franchise, such as Tamayo and Yushiro.

The packaging made of light cardboard is compact, in line with the content, and has a transparent window in the front part useful to have a small preview of the figures contained inside. The design of the small box is clean and well cared for, so as to allow the collector to evaluate its display in the collection.

Demon Slayer

Demon Slayer The figure of Tamayo

We begin our analysis by introducing you to the character of Tamayo, a doctor present in the work, an ally of Tanjiro. Tamayo has several abilities, which allow him to use blood as a vehicle for his spells. Among these we find his ability to create hallucinations, hitting the enemy by sight. Or again, Tamayo is able to make anyone admit the truth of their actions and their secrets!

Demon Slayer

Demon Slayer As for the figure dedicated to Bandai's Demon Slayer, the subject of this review, we can confirm how the company has managed to pay homage to the character by reproducing a series of unequivocal characteristics. From the point of view of design, starting from the head, we find her classic collected hairstyle and her lavender-colored eyes that stand out on a candid complexion and express a sort of sadness. The figure also sees Tamayo dressed in her black kimono, decorated with red flowers and green leaves and purple branches, as well as her signature beige colored obi. In short, nothing is really missing!

As far as the coloring is concerned, we can appreciate the work offered by Bandai, even if we must point out some very small inaccuracies. However, it must be said that the figure is really small and, in relation to its size, we can confirm that the painting is sufficiently well done.

On the accessories front, Tamayo's Figuarts Mini has a pair of arms replacements, which we remind you to be equipped with joints at the joints and therefore poseable. From this point of view, the attacks of the arms do not allow the extension of the limb outwards, but they can only be raised and lowered. Completely different speech regarding the head, which can be raised, lowered, and even rotated.

Demon Slayer

Yushiro's figure

Who is Yushiro? The second character we are going to present to you is very close to Tamayo, as he feels great esteem for her. He finds her intelligent and decidedly attractive, so much to be in love with her.

In the work, Yushiro is presented as a figure with formidable mysterious powers. Among these we find the ability to manipulate the body and the great medical and pharmacological knowledge capable of bringing even the dead back to life. In Demon Slayer, Yushiro can be described as Tamayo's friend and Tanjiro's ally .

Demon Slayer

Demon Slayer As for Tamayo's Figuarts Mini, Bandai did similar work on Yushiro's character as well. The young character is in fact reproduced finely, with his light skin and his large dark purple eyes, hair that goes from white to black through green as well as his gray shirt and white kimono worn over black trousers. In essence, the design can only be defined as congruous with the character.

From the point of view of poseability, Yushiro also boasts some joints at the joints, even if these are certainly not the strong point of the product.

Finally, as regards the accessories, the figure is offered with an alternative arm and the small white cat with black and brown spots: Chachamaru. The latter is a real gem for the quality of details with which he is endowed. Among these we find the backpack on the back, which inside contains a syringe created by Tamayo useful for collecting the blood of demons. And then again, the cat also wears the talisman made and given by Yushiro.

Demon Slayer

Demon Slayer Muzan Kibutsuji's figure

Who is Muzan Kibutsuji? The character of Muzan Kibutsuji is the main antagonist of the manga Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. This is the powerful king of demons, who among his mystical characteristics has the ability to inject his victims with blood containing a virus capable of transforming those attacked into demons. Muzan Kibutsuji has the aim of eliminating and transforming the entire human race through this practice. Among those affected is the Kamado family. Muzan Kibutsuji has in fact transformed Nezuko into a demon, thus starting the journey of his brother Tanjiro. Among his abilities, Muzan Kibutsuji is also able to instantly regenerate and mutate in unpredictable ways, making him a very difficult enemy to defeat.

Demon Slayer

As for the others two Figuarts Mini presented above, Muzan Kibutsuji also enjoyed great attention from Bandai in the production phase. The character has in fact been faithfully represented, always in the classic style of the line, with his fair complexion and curly black hair coming out of a white hat with a black band. In general, his face is certainly the thing that has attracted our attention, however, well finished and equipped with demonic red eyes. As far as posability is concerned, this figure is also similar to what was said for the previous ones. The figure is equipped with some joints at the joints which however allow a limited number of movements.

Demon Slayer

Demon Slayer As for the accessories inside of the set, Muzan Kibutsuji is equipped with a pair of additional arms and the classic exhibition stand which technically allows maximum stability of the figure during the exhibition phase. Unfortunately, with the figure in our possession, we have to report the impossibility of using the supplied support due to a too small hole on the back.

Demon Slayer Kagaya Ubuyashiki's figure

Who is Kagaya Ubuyashiki? The fourth Mini Figuarts of Demon Slayer from Bandai that we are going to present to you today is the one dedicated to the character who, in the work, plays the role of the leader of the demon hunters.

Demon Slayer

The figure is, like the previous ones, also contained within a small light cardboard box and is protected inside by a transparent protective blister. Once taken out of the package, as you can see from the images, the character looks like we expected, that is represented with a series of features also present in the anime.

Demon Slayer
Demon Slayer The figure of Kagaya Ubuyashiki in fact presents the character with light skin and long black hair, to surround his iconic face half colored in purple. This unusual feature leads the character to have burnt skin, due to a curse that is in fact consuming him. The clothes that Kagaya Ubuyashiki usually wears are also very well made, i.e. a black kimono with a white jacket enriched by a series of pink and purple motifs. Finally, this figure is also offered with an additional arm inside and the transparent exhibition stand that allows maximum stability of the figure.

The conclusions on the Demon figures Slayer Bandai

To conclude, we can define these Figuarts Mini Demon Slayer Bandai as real gems. Obviously, given their affordable cost, don't expect two stellar action figures, but two proposals with an excellent quality-price ratio that will undoubtedly give you emotions. Both figures are well made and detailed, albeit with some flaws in terms of coloring. The sets are enriched with a few accessories but among these we find the small transparent stands that are very useful for posing the characters.
