Once upon a time… Ratchet and Clank

It was 2001, an incredible year for the video game scene. At that time, Grand Theft Auto III, Medal of Honor: Frontline and Halo: Combat Evolved were released. It was a happy period, a unique moment with a different panorama: the productions did not overlap each other as they do today, trying in every way to preserve themselves. It wasn't easy, it wasn't immediate and it was definitely not a classic approach, but it was the right and correct one, because at the same time it involved sharing new mechanics, stories and as many reflections on the terms we used to describe a work in its entirety. The real success, however, did not start from space, from a city in turmoil and the devastated fields of Normandy, but from a world far away which, in reality, was not fairytale but not unusual either. The story began with a Lombax who responded to the name of Ratchet, and by a nice but somewhat dumb little robot called XJ-0461, who at the time we learned to know with the name of Clank, the name given to him by his friend.
