Artist Kazuhiro Fujita (Ushio and Tora) signs a new manga after 7 years

The artist Kazuhiro Fujita, one of the most famous mangaka of all time, famous in our country thanks to Ushio and Tora, is working on a new manga series. This year's 15th issue of Kodansha's Morning magazine broke the news, which published the first chapter of the new story last Thursday.

Kazuhiro Fujita's new manga is titled Kuro Hakubutsukan: Mikazuki yo, Kaibutsu to Odore (The Black Museum: Dance With Beasts, O Crescent Moon).

What is it about? The story centers on writer Mary Shelley as she searches for a red shoe left behind at a masquerade ball hosted by Queen Victoria. Professional dancer TAKAHIRO is credited with assisting in the choreography of the dances featured in the manga.




Ushio Aotsuki lives with his father in a small Buddhist temple. The manga has received several television transpositions and original anime videos. A 10-episode OAV series, produced by Toho and animated at the Pastel studio, was produced between 1992 and 1993 and a super-deformed style OAV single was produced in 1993. Between July 2015 and June 2016 it aired. a television series of 39 episodes, divided into three seasons.

In our country the OAV series was broadcast on 7 Gold and subsequently published for the home video market by Yamato Video, which also broadcast the anime television series of 2015 on his YouTube channel in simulcast.
