PlayStation Store, Ghostwire: Tokyo and Tiny Tina's Wonderlands

PlayStation Store, Ghostwire

On PlayStation Store it's time for spectacular battles against the Japanese spirits of Ghostwire: Tokyo, the new title developed by Tango Gameworks that lands on PS5 as an exclusive time, catapulting us into the center of Tokyo during a supernatural event that causes the disappearance of hundreds of people.

From folklore we pass to the fantasy of Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, the long-awaited spin-off of Borderlands 3 in which we will be able to control little Tina but also other new characters in a mission full of fantastic creatures and frenetic battles: alone or in cooperative with friends, will we be able to defeat the evil Dragon Lord?

The releases of the week, however, do not end here: The Ascent, the action RPG disguised as Neon Giant twin stick shooter, which caused much discussion at the time of the debut on Xbox, and the intriguing free mission of Far Cry 6 inspired by the world of Stranger Thing, Th and Vanishing.

Ghostwire: Tokyo

Ghostwire: Tokyo, a Shibuya spell-based fighting sequence in the evening offers an incomparable spectacle, but one that appears in front of Akito's eyes , the protagonist of Ghostwire: Tokyo (PS5, € 69.99), is a different scenario than usual. Suddenly people seem crazy, the victim of a mysterious attack, and Akito himself is hit by a speeding car, saving himself only thanks to the intervention of the ghost of a sort of ... nightmare investigator.

The fusion gives the boy a series of devastating paranormal powers, as well as the experience and intuition of the spirit that gave him back his life: skills that will come in handy during a campaign in which we will have to explore different areas of the famous neighborhood trade of the Japanese capital and free them from the infernal invasion that is upsetting it.

In short, our task will be to hunt down ghosts, moving within an open world setting, freely choosing the tasks with which to try, purifying a series of votive altars and casting powerful spells against the enemies, in the context of a frenetic and spectacular combat system.

Unfortunately, the excellent conditions of the game developed by Tango Gameworks do not find a concretization without criticality, and so the missions end up repeating themselves a little too much and the scenario fails to rise, revealing itself lacking the necessary character to stand out: we talked about this and more in the Ghostwire: Tokyo review.

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands also sees the presence of huge flying dragons The long-awaited fantasy spin-off of Borderlands starts from the solid foundations of the Assault on Dragon's Keep expansion to put us in the shoes of Tiny Tina, the crazy girl appeared for the first time in the second chapter of the Gearbox Software series and then became a permanent presence, to the point of deserving a starring role in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands (PS5 and PS4, € 69.99).

Alone or in co-op, at the command of a cast of unreleased characters, we will find ourselves facing a completely crazy adventure in an attempt to defeat the evil Dragon Lord. To succeed in the enterprise we will be able to count on various upgrades and on the novelty of the double class, able to really change the cards on the table: we talked about it in the review of Tiny Tina's Wonderlands.

The Ascent

The Ascent, our characters are preparing to face a mission After the exclusive time on PC and Xbox, The Ascent (PS5 and PS4, € 29.99) makes its debut this week also on PS5 and PS4, catapulting us into the futuristic city of Veles, a cyberpunk metropolis dominated by corporations, but one day is devastated by a mysterious attack. As a worker, we will have to take up arms and defend our district.

Action RPG enriched with twin stick shooter mechanics, the title developed by Neon Giant undoubtedly boasts interesting assumptions and a good representation of the scenario, but also a few too many problems regarding some design choices and navigation of the huge starting hub: this and other details in the review of The Ascent.
