While there continue to be some questionable oversights (such as the evolution of the rider falling off the bike), the riding model of the MotoGP 22 turns out to be extremely convincing, but also just as difficult. At each change of direction, the mass of the bike is perceptible, as is the strength required of the centaurs to tame these beasts of over 250 horsepower and 150 kilograms. The Ride Hieght Device makes its appearance, the so-called lowering device introduced for the first time in 2018 by Miller's Ducati Pramac, to improve outgoing acceleration, but the whole part relating to the suspension as a whole has undergone some refinement work. Of course, tires and their management continue to play a central role, as does that of fuel consumption.

From this point of view the improvements are minimal and we would have expected a greater attention from the designers.

This section, entitled Nine Season 2009, is one of the many tributes to Valentino, who won his ninth and last career laurel in that year.
