BCPOD, and your bike stays safe

BCPOD

In recent years, also thanks to the pandemic and the objective need to practice social distancing, there has been a net increase in the use of bicycles - further supported by the tax bonuses proposed on several occasions by the Government to facilitate their purchase, but when there travel by bicycle often the theft issue is underestimated: today a bicycle can cost several thousand euros and the prospect of leaving it tied to a lamppost in plain sight is not particularly attractive.

Many of you will have seen the crazy videos of the underground bicycle stalls used in some Japanese cities, and although not as technological, the solution proposed by BCPOD is interesting and functional for the purpose: as you can see from the photos, the BCPOD is nothing more than a metal box with automatic closure in which to store your bicycle, so you can leave it unattended for a few hours without fear of theft.

if (jQuery ("# crm_srl-th_motorlabs_d_mh2_1"). is (": visible")) {console.log ("Edinet ADV adding zone: tag crm_srl-th_motorlabs_d_mh2_1 slot id: th_motorlabs_d_mh2 "); } The first BCPOD tests are taking place in the internal courtyard of Co + Fab, a coworking space in Sesto San Giovanni, just outside Milan; those who frequent this space will have 2 BCPOD boxes available for a limited time and upon payment, but it is easy to hypothesize strategic positioning of these boxes - perhaps near commercial establishments or large shopping centers - where the cost of parking can be absorbed by the shops nearby.

BCPOD is not designed to accommodate our bikes for many consecutive hours, the system works best if during the day there is a good rhythm in the turnover of customers: therefore suitable for places such as the gym, a library , a cinema, a shopping center, in sum all those places where you spend a limited number of hours.

Downloading and configuring the BCPOD app is very simple, and once you have completed the procedure you will not have to do anything else than to book your slot; if you have an e-bike, the BCPOD also allows you to recharge the battery during the stop.
