Windows 10 updates KB4566782 and KB4565351 cause installation problems
With the updates known as Patch Tuesday, Microsoft tries to refine and improve the experience on Windows 10 PCs: it is not uncommon, however, that annoying problems are also introduced. For example, this happened again in the last few days, with the updates KB4566782 and KB4565351.

The updates KB4566782 and KB4565351 for Windows 10 are causing installation problems on PCs that have build 2004, 1909 and 1903 installed. in possession of the errors encountered by users, namely: 0x800f0988, 0x800f081f, and 0x800f08a, 0x80071160 (where 0x800f081f is the most common). All are shown on the screen when trying to install the cumulative updates of August 2020.

Users start asking for help on Microsoft forums; one of them wrote: "I am having difficulty installing this update KB4566782 Build 19041.450, on my PC Windows 10 Pro Version 2004 19041.423, 64-bit operating system. It fails to complete the installation, and I receive the error message 0x80071160 ".

At present there does not seem to be any remedies or solutions for the problem: all that remains is to wait for the intervention directly from Microsoft, which certainly will not be long in coming. In recent months there have been many other problems related to Windows 10, those of the May 2020 Update.
