Instagram believes in Reels and places him in the foreground
Instagram has just made a change to the user interface of the official application. Some users have in fact found the icon dedicated to Reels in the lower navigation bar, while the "Explore" button has been moved up. For the moment this is a novelty reserved for some Indian users, but it is likely that it will soon arrive in other countries as well.

Just a few days ago, Instagram launched the “Reels” section. Users can post short films accompanied by songs and graphic effects. The function is very similar to TikTok, the social network that has recently come under the crosshairs of the US government. Reels can be used directly within the official application of the social network: it is therefore not required to download other software.

I personally dont like Reels (because of the content) and today @instagram just removed the search button from bottom and added the reels button over there🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Reels is currently accessible from Explore, but that may soon change. Instagram has in fact changed the UI of the official app by inserting a button entirely dedicated to short videos. The key to access Reels has been placed in the lower navigation bar, while the one for the Explore section has been moved to the top, next to Direct.

An understandable choice, considering that this could make everything more orderly and intuitive. For the moment, the change - distributed via a server update - is only available to some Indian users. We just have to wait to find out if it will also arrive in other markets.
